Just checking in
Jun. 30th, 2008 09:36 pmNo linkspam tonight, because I just finished Wanted in Fifteen Minutes. (I know, two in one month. I just happened to see two movies in a row that practically parodied themselves. I don't even know that it's all that good, but I finished it, so that feels good.)
Also, the right side of my jaw hurts for no good reason, and it's really bothering me. Woe.

Date: 2008-07-01 04:23 am (UTC)...Actually I enjoyed the m15m muchly. I was thoroughly spoiled, and I feel like I saw it alone with a whip-smart friend, and didn't have to have people come in half-way through the previews to sit right in front of me. Which is as it should be. Thanks.

Date: 2008-07-01 02:54 pm (UTC)It seems like I never have enough time to see all the movies before they leave the theater - like, for instance, I STILL haven't seen Indy (is it still IN theaters? Hm.) and I want to see Get Smart, and Wanted, and...ack! Not enough time! (Or money, actually. When did movies get to be $10? Gah.)

Date: 2008-07-01 04:59 am (UTC)Oh, and you can also buy ibuprofen as ibuprofen at CVS or wherever. It's cheaper that way.

Date: 2008-07-01 08:22 am (UTC)Both are cox 1 & cox 2 blockers, and have similar effects on the body - except ibuprofen is a little rougher on the liver and blood; while naproxen sodium is rougher on folks sensitive to sodium.
And IMO getting the generic ibuprofen makes most sense.

Date: 2008-07-01 04:48 am (UTC)Ech, the jaw. My sympathies. Mine has this lovely thing it does where it just slips out of socket randomly (It's genetic, too! Sent my brother to the ER once.) Get some cloths, wet them with warm water and apply after taking Tylenol. (The best I've found for it is the new Tylenol with the red 'EZ' coating. My body couldn't break down the coating of the old Gel Tab Tylenol. I spent years thinking Tylenol did nothing for me, then accidentally got the wrong bottle of it...works like a charm.)

Date: 2008-07-01 05:25 am (UTC)And I have a lot of jaw problems (had TMJ, so I get soreness every so often), so I know how you feel. A while ago, my dentist recommended taking 3 motrins and one tylenol together every 6 hours (if needed) for a day or so, and I've found that helps a lot. The motrin helps with inflammation (which is mainly what happens with achy jaws), and that and the tylenol combined is really great for the pain. If you need some extra help, a warm moist cloth for 20 mins every hour or so is good as well.
