Until I get these annotations finished (please God SOON), I'm going to post only what I consider to be the ESSENTIAL linkspam--things that I personally geeked out over and/or felt were semi-important. I tend to geek out over pictures or trailers, so... that's largely what's going to make it through. Maybe some videos of polar bears. Who knows.

Even when Uma Thurman's stalker tries to explain his actions to his best advantage, he still comes off as completely crazycakes. I found this fascinating because Jordan's articulate enough to try to explain what he was thinking, and yet even his "innocent" explanations are still creepy.

A word that exists solely to be a word that doesn't exist. Heh.

MTV Movie Awards Nominees Announced, Extremely Relevant.

New Prince Caspian Photos.

The Twilight poster; 'Twilight' Trailer Shot By Shot. Could MTV be any more obsessed with this movie? No. No, it could not.

Harvey Dent with What One Might Almost Call a 'Second Face.' Something I discovered to my cost: do not read any interview with Aaron Eckhart, because he just blithely dropped a gigantic spoiler in the one I read. Granted, it's one you can see in the trailer, if you look really closely, but...

International X-Files Poster Online; hi-res stills, some old.

[livejournal.com profile] trailer_spot: Twilight, Love Guru, Fall, Strangers, Indiana Jones.

Mr. Owen, We're Sorry, But We Ran Out of Coffee (http://defamer.com/387461/mr-owen-were-sorry-but-we-ran-out-of-coffee).

The hilarious thing is that he always looks like that.

Wow...I have so many issues with how Jordan defended himself in that trial. Too. Much...entitlement. Can't, breathe.

I won't lie. I'm commenting to get some mileage out of one of my new TDK icons. Hey, it's semi-on-topic. *has no shame*

New franchise potential. They want the attention of the target audience: tweenies and soccer moms.

The word that doesn't exist: I've run into that with maps. Mapmakers will put nonexistent roads on their maps so they can copyright it. Before I knew that, I'd study maps, and I noticed two cul-de-sacs that didn't exist about a mile from where I lived. I actually called the mapmaking company to point that out. Ah, ignorant youth...

OMG I r spamming your linkspam.

This right here (http://storytubes.com/vote/hrt.php) is a contest for book review videos as done by children. Voting started this week and is done weekly in different categories. The weekly winner gets $500 in books and their sponsoring organization (school, library, homeschooling organization, etc) gets a grand worth of books.* This week's category is Hair-Raising Tales. I won't tell you who to vote for, of course--the important thing is to concentrate and then not die.

PS: I am afraid to watch the Twilight teaser. I luxuriated in eyerolling when I was reading it because O hai, Mr. and Miss Sue, but I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN.

*Remember, a tiny moist hand holding a book is a tiny moist hand not on your head!

So. Creepy.

I'm waiting for the action figures. But really they won't have much action except to mope around and pine over Bella.

I know, I know, I'm a big pansy.

I still can't get used to a hot Prince Caspian. Wasn't he a sort of weedy 12 year old, in the book? It makes me feel creepy.

Still, BB as Caspian is not half so weird as Ellen Page as Jane Eyre (http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117985166.html?categoryid=13&cs=1).

HA. I thought it was just my reaction, and I've only skimmed the first book and the rest of the pouty!vampire genre.

OH MY GOD I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT SPOILER.

I hope he means Harvey just THINKS that happened, or I will be sad that they did that even though that character is useless.

Wow. That Jordan guy is Speshul. Yeah, I'm thinkin' if some guy sent me a picture of the two of us walking across a razor blade near an open grave, I might be a little freaked out. This is not unreasonable.

Awesome, I'll post the link.

(The trailer is pretty short and mostly involves Robert Pattinson staring intensely in various directions. Although I did start laughing at the end. Waaaaaatch it, you know you want to!)

I noticed it but assumed Batman would intervene somehow. You know, superheroes do that last-minute save kind of thing all the time. I'm inclined to think it's really going to happen, though, if only because [character] isn't one of the big comics characters, and if they got rid of [character], they could bring other [people] in.

But man, just when I think the movie couldn't get any darker...

No, that he thinks [SPOILER] happened to [OTHER CHARACTER WHO IS NOT HARVEY DENT]. There's a possible hint of something in the trailer that dovetails with a spoiler that Eckhart let drop in a recent interview, and the OP is hoping that the spoiler doesn't actually happen, Harvey just thinks it does.
