Kate looks really pretty in this episode. I was wondering what happened to her, legal-wise, in the future, so I'm glad they're getting to this.

Sooo...somehow Jack finds out that Claire is his half-sister? That's why he doesn't want to see Aaron?
I don't know that this necessarily means Claire dies. It could be that she decides Aaron would be better off away from the island. Weird, though, because didn't the psychic conspire to have her on the plane because otherwise Aaron would be in great danger or somesuch?

So...so...WAIT! Does everyone (aside from Jack) actually think Aaron is Kate's? Should we be counting him as one of the Six?

It does make sense why Kate's so protective (I bet Scary Black Dude would love to get his hands on a baby born on the Island), but what about the whole thing where Claire has be the one to raise him, lest there be dire consequences? That's why she was on Flight 815 in the first place!

are you asking if people think that Claire was impregnated for Kate? i find it hard to believe, granted anything is possible in this show, but we are to believe she got pregnant and on that flight b/c she wasn't suppose to have the kid. so confusing!

I have a theory about Jack. It is the Theory of Jack's Hair. I think that Jack's happiness grows and shrinks in contrast with his hair. Short hair!Jack = happy Jack (see The Island!Jack, Trial!Jack.) Long hair!Jack = miserable Jack (see past!Jack, future!Jack.)

I think he should figure this out, and realize that as long as he keeps his hair nice and tidy, he'll be happy, and so will we.

I am - WARNING FOR LANGUAGE - goddamn fucking sick to my eyeteeth of this bullshit love triangle. They've pulled it for four years now, and to their credit, Sawyer is at least saying what we're thinking. She's just a using asswipe who's no good at the con.

Every Katepisode (save the one with Nathan Fillion) just brings the show to a crashing halt for me. Thank goodness next week looks like it'll be heavy on Desmond.

I agree with you completely on this. Aside from a few brief moments, I *really* dislike Kate. I probably would not still be watching the show if the writers had gone with the original idea of killing Jack and having Kate be the "star". She's a whiny tramp, thief, and cold-blooded murderer.
I really hope Rose doesn't try to leave the island because I'm sure the island is the only thing keeping her alive.

Y'all are missing the most obvious answer: Kate and Claire are life-partners, co-mothering Aaron. They didn't want Claire to be a character witness because they were afraid the whole "island lesbians" thing would turn the trial into a bigger media circus than it already was.
