I am so not used to this Lostursday thing yet.

(Just a teensy bit of spam while I eat dinner and jump in the shower: Scans of Vanity Fair's Hitchcock portfolio. I am completely bowled over by the Renee Zellweger Vertigo shot, by the way.)

I love that shoot, but I am more than a little annoyed at the inclusion of Rebecca--I know that it's considered a great movie, etc, but I was in love with the book when I was 14 and felt crushed when I saw the movie.

I haven't read the book but I got the impression that the film was pretty faithful to it. What's different?

Bowled over in a good way or a bad way? I think she looks a lot like Kim Novak but not a lot like Renee Zellweger.

Dial M for Murder, Vertigo and The Birds are absolutely stunning photography.

Jodie Foster, how I missed you. SO glad she's back in the spotlight.

VF sure does worship the mediocre white actresses. Also, ScarJo as Grace Kelly? Ummmyeah, I don't think so.

I love that entire shoot. Keira Knightley as Mrs de Winter was a surprising choice, I thought, but she really got that meek, wide-eyed, shy, terrified look Joan Fontaine did so well.

Looking at the comments, I think I may be in the minority, loving both the book and the movie here.

No, I love them both too. Although I just love Joan Fontaine in general.

Jodie in THE BIRDS, REBECCA and the return of The World's Most Beautiful Dress in the REAR WINDOW one are my favourites, although I like the playful nature of NORTH BY NORTHWEST with Rogen...

I don't recall Hitch showing Marion's bum in PSYCHO?

LIFEBOAT- Ben Foster again showing why he was totally miscast as Angel in X-MEN 3 *g*
