Blast your links! I got hooked on the Free Rice site. Learned a lot but spent entirely too much time there. However, I managed to donate something well over 1000 grains before I pulled myself away.

Shattered Shakespeare:

Arroz, by any other name would still be rice.

2) Now I really WANT to see this movie

3) I cannot read your M15M parody till I've actually SEEN the movie.

AAAAAAAW. *SADFACE*

Oh, allright, I read the very first bits -- down to the part we've already seen in the sneak previews/teasers. Darwin, heee. Great work. :)

Excellent as always. I'll keep most of my comments on it to the m15m entry, but I can't help giggling at the "everyone, including the rats, says OMG RUN" part.

I've been following the links here about the anticoagulant theory, and people trying to reconcile what we see (*pop*) with how those work in the real world. To that, I have to say: Hollywood Anticoagulants, guys. I mean, this is a Giant Monster Movie, complete with a monster that's immune to conventional (and possibly atomic) weapons Because It Just Is. We should probably not start poking at the Bullshit Science; that way lies madness Sparta stuff like calculating how much ground pressure is on every square yard of Darwin's feet and trying to explain why he doesn't break through into the subways/sewers with every step.

Peace, yo.
