God, I spent most of the day mopping various floors with various cleaning products and folding other people's laundries. The day before, it was floor-mopping and sister-paper-editing (we had a slight panic at five in the morning because the internets hold no information on Marie-Antoine Carame, in part because [as we finally discovered], the man's name was Marie-Antoine CarĂªme.). Both the dogs are messily sick at the moment, so we've been a bit preoccupied with that. I don't know in what order the next two Lost recaps will appear--the missed one and tonight's--but they'll get done. I just need some sleep first.

Way to look innocent, there. (Also: who marries someone who is on trial for the murder of his wife?)" Whoa! I hadn't even heard about this one, and it's in-state!

Wow, they remade "The Red Balloon"? I don't know how I feel about that. Staple of my childhood right there.

I used to get it from the library all the time and watch it at home. We saw it in my senior year French class and it brought back so many memories.

God, what a priceless pic in the Equus article. The boy has a coy little smile on his face as he prepares to blind the innocent Red Riding Hood little girl. And you gotta love the bright sun in the background. *snorfle*

Interesting spam. Very interesting.

I must admit, I quite surprisingly kind of hate the young!Marauders and love the young!Snape. (The actors, that is, not the characters. *g*)

Also, I don't remember where I came across it so beg pardon if I found it through you in the first place, but you should check out this site. http://www.artdungeon.net/ It's some of the best Harry Potter fan art I've ever seen. I don't know the artist or anything, but she's great. Really awesome. Be forewarned, though, she's a blatant Ron/Hermione shipper. ^.^

... okay, so I think I see Sirius, but I'm not even recognizing the other Marauders. Am possibly going to go cry (or, y'know, curse the movie industry) now.

I know, right? I am assuming the one with the glasses is supposed to be James, but if so, wtf? Ugh. Why is his hair practically blonde?!

Hehe. Isn't she cute? <3 Alanna.

Unfortunately, the site belonging to the girl I got her from doesn't exist anymore. But feel free to borrow!

I should modify her to say "herione addict" as well.

Snape looks perfect! As for the Marauders, if the one on the right is supposed to be Peter, I approve. If he's not, then none of them are recognizable.

*eyes news about Grey's spin off warily* I love the character of Addison but her own show? Umm. It would weaken Grey's, IMHO, and it would need a hell of a premise. If, of course, it's true.

Wow, I've really got Marie-Antoinette on the brain - I read your first sentence as "Marie Antoinette", not Marie-Antoine! LOL!

And LMAO about Equus - I totally didn't catch that it was an onion article at first!

(Today's Fun Food Fact: Careme was famous for his piece-montees, which were baiscally giant food sculptures; no smart upper-class dinner party of his day was considered a success without one.)/food geek

I have one thing to say about the Grey's Anatomy news - DO NOT WANT. I love the actor involved and I would much rather see them continue on this show, interacting with these specific characters, than in some random shot in the dark. I hope this does not come to pass. :(

My boyfriend (who is a chef) luuurves Careme and intends to modify his own chef outfit to include gaily fringed sash with a large knife thrust through it.

There's an interesting section about Careme in an online exhibit called Not By Bread Alone: America's Culinary Heritage (http://rmc.library.cornell.edu/food). I'm writing a museum exhibit on turn-of-the-century cuisine and that site's been really useful.

My dad is a physics prof in the UA system and has met Andrew Pakhomov, the man who's accused of killing his wife. Apparently everyone at UAH is convinced he's guilty as sin, but there's not a lot of physical evidence - the police may never get a conviction.

More sword vigliantism (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1110AP_Sword_Charge.html?source=mypi), this time in a town with the funkiest name ever. Seriously: OCONOMOWOC Wisconsin. Say that 10 times fast. Apparently some guy was watching porn so loudly that his downstairs neighbor thought a woman was being raped, took his family heirloom sword and kicked in the door. Dude didn't call 911 because he didn't have a phone. No phone, but a family heirloom sword. I want neighbors like that.

Not to be entirely off-topic, but I just saw an ad for the upcoming Showtime mini-series The Tudors (http://www.sho.com/site/tudors/home.do?source=shocom_nav), with Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, which looks a) naughty, and b) intriguing. Apologies if you're already aware; I can't recall reading about it here, though.

On a side note, I finished The Other Boleyn Sister the other day, which I *think* I read due to a recc here; even if not, I greatly enjoyed it.

Dear Cleo,
You can come fold my laundry any time that's good for you. I will give you cookies.
Kisses,
me
Also, poor, poor Anne Hathaway. Believe me, if I'd scored a job where I got to make out with James McAvoy, I'd be having a rough time too. That's a tear for her, right there on my face.
Keanu Reeves's acting is my Worst Nightmare, is that the same thing? It looks almost the same.
