Blarrrrrrgh
Jan. 26th, 2007 01:37 amOh my God, you guys. I just coughed up a doxycycline pill ("the daisy cutter of antibiotics") and there was great throat-burning, and I chugged like four glasses of water, and it still hurt, and I'm probably going to die of throat cancer now, but okay. Well, if you read up on doxycycline, you'll discover that it's a time-release medication, and that you should not by any means break the capsule open and cause all the scary stuff to be absorbed at once. Well, coughing up a pill tends to do just that. I don't remember all the possible complications--somewhat fittingly, the only one I do remember is nausea. So a half an hour ago, after I managed to burn a hole in my throat, I started to feel very, very bad. Very bad. I thought, you chug four glasses of water, you're not gonna feel so good. Well... let's just say that the only thing worse than taking a ride on the Vomit Comet is cleaning up the fairgrounds afterwards. Thank God for Listerine and scrubbing bubbles, is all I have to say about that. So now I've got dueling stomach problems and a patch around my right eye where the capillaries are now broken--the last couple of years or so, this has happened every time I throw up--a snerfy nose, menstrual bloating, and my period itself. If I live through this, I'm gonna kill that cat.
And as an apology for that little scenic detour, I bring you new POTC3 stills.

Date: 2007-01-26 08:09 am (UTC)You could also try applying cowbell, but I'm not sure of how those two breeds would mix.

Date: 2007-01-26 08:12 am (UTC)Maybe the cowbell would keep the cat away. I would like that.

Date: 2007-01-26 08:32 am (UTC)And as to your TMI, once when I had the flu, I invented a new verb: 'to skrewt.' It's where you need the toilet and the bucket at the same time. Not pretty.

Date: 2007-01-26 02:49 pm (UTC)I have also toured prospective homes with an eye to how close the toilet and the tub were for just such occasions. Joy. No one mentions this sort of thing when they talk about being a responsible adult.
Padparadscha -- that's an orange sapphire, isn't it?

Date: 2007-01-26 09:21 am (UTC)Hey, would you mind mentioning something in your next linkspam? I'm running the San Francisco Marathon to support the AIDS Foundation (http://www.aidsmarathon.com/participant.asp?runner=SF-7094&EventCode=SF07), and I'm offering hilarity (http://spectralbovine.livejournal.com/75261.html) in exchange for donations.
Thanks!

My main point: *hugs*

I send you *get well soon* wishes, and careful *HUGS*...

Date: 2007-01-26 10:59 pm (UTC)Keira's outfit is beautiful in its detail, but looks mighty cumbersome.
Also, way back when you posted links of Keira in a Wizard of Oz inspired Annie Leibovitz shoot (and Drew Barrymore in Beauty and the Beast ) - do you remember? I wouldn't, except I stumbled across the link in my bookmarks the other day. Well, These shots (http://www.usatoday.com/life/people/2007-01-25-disney-ad-campaign_x.htm) are really gorgeous. I can't wait to see the rest of her Disney ad campaign, judging by these two.
