Quick update, before I go fix a late breakfast: I went to the MedHelp clinic today, and they shot me up with one antibiotic and prescribed two more. More on my adventures later, but, suffice it to say, I'm going to live.

Excellent. Cat bites are horribly filthy; I'm glad you finally got the antibiotics. [hugz]

Glad you got medical attention. Hope your visit to the MedHelp clinic went better than my last trip to a doc-in-a-box.

It was actually a really nice visit, although I generally hate going to the doctor, and there was a lot of waiting around between nurses and doctors popping in to the examination room to see me. But then, I've gotten that at every doctor I've ever gone to.

I usually end up cat-napping during a doctor's visit, in between nurses and doctors.

You had much better luck than I usually do with urgent care clinics. I always wind up at a doc-in-the-box at the worst possible time...the day after Christmas, for instance. SIX HOURS. Surrounded by what seemed to be half the population of Tuscaloosa, all of whom were suffering from a stomach virus.

That wasn't what I was there for, but I ended up leaving with it. Ugh.

Glad you had a hassle-free visit.

If you were going to lose the hand, though, why not go to a bazaar and steal as much as you could carry?
That'd be the hypothetical upside, anyhow.

Also, perhaps this will contribute to your healing. After all, laughter is the best medicine, right?

Randomosity.

This is completely random, BUT:

I have the first season of Boston Legal on DVD, and I'm sitting there watching this episode and one of the guest stars comes out and I'm staring at her thinking "Where do I know her from????" And then all of a sudden it comes to me, and I scream "MUFFIN!!!!" ...because, yes, Muffin did indeed guest star in an episode of Boston Legal. Anyway, it was totally random and crazy, but as it is I can no longer see Elizabeth Mitchell without thinking "Muffin" and chortling to myself.

You think that's bad--I realized over the holidays that Muffin has been playing Mrs. Claus in *all* the Santa Clause movies.

This is off-topic.

I don't know if you've ever heard of Taylor Mali, but he is a slam poet. This is his poem, "What Teachers Make".

This is vastly entertaining, and he made me view my teachers in a new light.
