I don't know how you can't understand a preference. I don't like her as an actress. I don't like her character. I do not like her. I'm not saying that you can't, or anyone else can't. It's not irrational when I can justify my reasons for not liking her.
Also, if you're going to go on this "the island gives people a second chance and redeems them" kick... you need to realize that Charlie killed Ethan because he was hung by the neck and because he was protecting Claire. Before he killed anyone, he kicked heroin and he was trying to help people.
Ana? Ana wanted control, she wanted revenge for the kids being taken. She tortured a man on no evidence, which cost him his life. She killed the real mole, when she could've gotten more information out of him for the greater public good. She then killed Shannon because she couldn't wait an extra two seconds and see what she was shooting at... She's killed three people on the island so far. So her slate is already pretty mucked up again.
