I have two giant posts that I'm behind on, but basically, this is to say that they're only rerunning "Numbers" on Lost tonight, so... nothing to freak out about, it's a night off show-wise.
I watched it tonight anyway, and I noticed all the things you mention. It *is* very strange that they re-played a first season episode, so I'd lean toward the theory that the episode is significant in some way...
That's what I was thinking, too. I looked for Libby when Hurley went back to the hospital to see Lenny. I didn't spot her. But of course, that would have been really obvious. :-/ I still thought it was a possiibility. Did anyone else notice anything?
My wife thought she noticed something. You remember when Hurley's at the loony bin, and a doctor recognized him? My wife is fairly certain that doctor is the Asian doctor guy (I totally spaced his name) from the infamous Dharma Initiative movie reel instruction thingy. As luck would have it, I missed that part (not being especially interested in a rerun).
Did anyone else get a good look at him? Can we get a confirm that he is or is not spooky Asian doctor instructor? Can we get a screenshot, even, maybe?
I just looked at the cast info...the spooky doctor guy from the orientation video (I found out, his name is Dr. Candle) is played by Francois Chou. In the cast info from the episode "Numbers", there was no mention of Dr. Candle, but they did mention a "Dr. Curtis" played by a Dan Seki...so that's probably the guy my wife saw with Hurley.
This is not a total rebuff, but it does make it unlikely that my wife's theory is correct. Sorry about the wasted space.
