I have two giant posts that I'm behind on, but basically, this is to say that they're only rerunning "Numbers" on Lost tonight, so... nothing to freak out about, it's a night off show-wise.

Rerun? Ahhhh, poo. Oh well, I had some writing I actually needed to work on anyway.

Ahh, I love Hurley eps, though.

But why are they showing a season 1 rerun? Is this episode important? Is it to remind us about the Numbers? Is it to remind us that Hurley was once committed which might be important in terms of Libby later? Is it to remind us how Locke started getting close to Claire and that just so happened to make a cradle for her on her birthday? Perhaps he knew because he was even then in league with the Others and had extra intel? Perhaps the people who make the schedule just really like Hurley?

WHY I ASK!! WHY?!?!

The next two episodes are going to have Hurley subplots, is my understanding. It might help for people to have a refresher course on the numbers, too.

I watched it tonight anyway, and I noticed all the things you mention. It *is* very strange that they re-played a first season episode, so I'd lean toward the theory that the episode is significant in some way...

That's what I was thinking, too. I looked for Libby when Hurley went back to the hospital to see Lenny. I didn't spot her. But of course, that would have been really obvious. :-/ I still thought it was a possiibility. Did anyone else notice anything?

Now that you mention it...

My wife thought she noticed something. You remember when Hurley's at the loony bin, and a doctor recognized him? My wife is fairly certain that doctor is the Asian doctor guy (I totally spaced his name) from the infamous Dharma Initiative movie reel instruction thingy. As luck would have it, I missed that part (not being especially interested in a rerun).

Did anyone else get a good look at him? Can we get a confirm that he is or is not spooky Asian doctor instructor? Can we get a screenshot, even, maybe?

probably a false alarm

I just looked at the cast info...the spooky doctor guy from the orientation video (I found out, his name is Dr. Candle) is played by Francois Chou. In the cast info from the episode "Numbers", there was no mention of Dr. Candle, but they did mention a "Dr. Curtis" played by a Dan Seki...so that's probably the guy my wife saw with Hurley.

This is not a total rebuff, but it does make it unlikely that my wife's theory is correct. Sorry about the wasted space.

Hey, no apology necessary! With this show you have to be suspicious of every tiny coincidence...

I just wanted to tell you this:
YOUR BOOK CAME!!! *runs around in a hyper fashion* From Amazon.co.uk, that is. *grumbleTBCgrumble*

I haven't read it yet, but have cracked up just reading the back and the beginning of the FotR one, Galadriel is hilarious. I feel like such a nerd for knowing who Finarfin is. But he has an awesome, rememberable name, so yeah. And I'll have you know, I read and appreciated the acknowledgements.

*runs off to read your Book of Awesome*

WHY ARE PEOPLE MORONS? :(

Apple Sued Over Potential Hearing Loss (http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1110AP_Apple_iPod_Lawsuit.html). Basically, since Apple doesn't have a volume limiter or a warning on high volume in or on the iPod, this guy is suing them. :(

Why are people morons!?

Cleo, I've been a reader of yours for ages, and have just now had the opportunity to comment when there's not OMGZ193848873873 other comments. :D Just wanted to thank you for introducing me to the wonderful world that is BPAL, I've been eyeing their site this week, and I'm now wanting to spend the amount of an average person's retirement fund. Just the descriptions are delicious! I can't wait to start buying imps.

And also, thank you endlessly for stating that there was a recap last night instead of a new episode. My cable crapped out on me last night and I was horrified, thinking I was missing something! So you just totally made my day. :)

This is totally off-topic for this entry...however, I thought you might want to include the following in one of your upcoming Linkspamaganzas:

Brokeback to the Future (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfODSPIYwpQ)

It's pure, unadulterated GENIUS.
