Oh wow, I didn't know they managed to get the writers back as well, that's awesome. I bet that's why Johnny, Keira, and Orlando automatically signed up without having read the script yet. Pure genius. Oh, this means we have TWO more soundtracks to look forward to. I'm beside myself with glee. Verbinski is in fact directing, as well as the third one. All it says (according to imdb.com) about 3 is "Elizabeth is captured by the oriental pirate Sao-Feng, while more problems surface and other rescues must be staged." But if we've got the writers and Johnny, it'll be just as good. I guess there was something up in the air about a vengeful daughter of Barbossa's at one point, but there's no way that would have been pulled off.
