I been tagged! Oh, fie on you, [livejournal.com profile] bunnymonkey (who is, by the way, a college friend of mine)!

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. "He's a Pirate," Pirates of the Caribbean

(I could fill up this entire list and then some with my POTC playlist, but... that would suck. Fortunately, I've started creating "everything I listened to this month" playlists, you know, just for posterity's sake, so I can browse my January list for the other six.)

2. "Fall in the Light," Lori Carson and Graeme Revell (Strange Days soundtrack)

3. "I Drove All Night," Cyndi Lauper

4. "Tornado," Garbage

5. "Like Lovers Do," Heather Nova

6. "The Real Thing," Bo Bice (HE IS AN ALABAMA BOY, I AM DUTY-BOUND TO SUPPORT HIM, SHUT UP)

7. "Night in My Veins," The Pretenders

So... uh... I tag [livejournal.com profile] sneezydove, [livejournal.com profile] katesti, [livejournal.com profile] foresthouse, [livejournal.com profile] edda, [livejournal.com profile] deoridhe, [livejournal.com profile] bibliotech and [livejournal.com profile] rockgeisha. Totally random selection of people I recently talked to, so... go forth and meme.

Hee, moocow. Hey, I've been listening to POTC for the last three days, I'm no one to talk. (You want weird, btw? Have you heard "Frontier Psychiatrist"? It's the most awesome thing ever, and if you don't have it, I'll load it up for you.)

"He's a Pirate" is the best song from that soundtrack! I used it for a sound design project, so I've listened to it MANY a time.

Now I have the urge to listen to my soundtrack again.

Okay, this comment doesn't have anything to do with music. I wish it did, but I can't think of any particular songs I like at this moments so, instead, I have a link for you. That isn't to do with music. Um.

http://holybibble.net/index.php

It's a webcomic. A webcomic that's spoofing the bible. The entire bible. I don't want to cause any religious tension, but I read a lot of webcomics and this has to be the funniest one I have seen in a long time.

So, thanks. For allowing comments. Or, yeah, bye. Heh heh...heh.

Cyndi Lauper! I am listening to Cyndi Lauper right at this moment. Her acoustic album is incredible.

The Celene Dion version of the song came on last night and all I could think about was Celene's stupid car commercial. Cyndi's version was so much better.

I wasn't sure what exactly "He's a Pirate" sounded like 'til I checked the sample on amazon.com, but I *love* that song too! I've been wanting to pop in PotC to watch it again (especially after the talk on your journal a bit ago on the Keira/NorringtonActor commentary). But apparently my husband hasn't been in the mood recently for Captain Jack Sparrow Piratey Adventures on the High Seas. Now that I have that song clip stuck in my head, though, I want to see the movie even more.

Speaking of music, I'm not sure if they're on your List of 80s Music You Like, but I just got through reading an e-mail from my sister detailing the Bon Jovi concert she and a friend attended last week. I was amused and also a wee bit jealous when she said at one point, she and her friend were about 15 feet away from Jon Bon Jovi, who'd come down into the crowd a bit. Oh, we children of the 80s. :-)

Hee! So those worked out okay? (Of course now I have no idea what I sent you, so making new mixes will be a bitch.)

P.S. I LOVED YOUR CHRISTMAS CARD HOLY CRAP CARGO LIPGLOSS.

Which brings me to my second question - do you care? lol

(It's all good if you don't, this is just the kind of thing people go OMGWTFBBQ over so I thought you may appreciate the drama if you didn't know already).

I think one of the things that makes POTC so awesome is the fact that the soundtrack is phenomenal. Klaus Bladelt is my hero. The music is so good even, that National Treasure sounds almost exactly like it sometimes (and Mr. Bladelt didn't write the score). I think my most favorite song on the soundtrack would be "Barbossa is Hungry".

Ooo, that's a good one. I think my core playlist at this moment is that one, "He's a Pirate," "Will and Elizabeth," "The Black Pearl," and "To the Pirates' Cave."
