Gahhh, I cannot beLIEVE I'm not watching this episode of Lost until next week (my parents are taping it since I don't have a VCR here, and I'm watching it when I go home for Thanksgiving)... instead, I'll be furiously typing away at an 8-page paper due tomorrow. I was just ashamed. It was the biggest cop-out ever. I mean, they couldn't have developed her character or anything. They couldn't have completed her transition into a Good Person who was healthy and happy that she tentatively began with Sayid. Locke said the thing about starting over and it was an Episode Moralomg, but then... she didn't start over! She sortofalmost did but not really.

Alright, I'm laying it on the table that Ana Lucia is going to be completely, irrevocably, gut-wrenchingly redeemed in this one. By next week, she will be more pure and intensely heroic than Jack ever freaking dreamed.
