Yeah, what do you want to bet his English speaking is just a random phrase he picked up from someone on the island and the preview just wants us to be like, "OMG, he can speak English, too!".

If it turns out Jin CAN speak English, that to me is going to feel like a total cop out. For one, he got so freaking mad when he learned Sun could speak it and hadn't told him, so it will make him seem like a total dick if he can speak it too and hadn't told her.

Also, there's no point for him to fake it anymore, especially not in front of Sawyer and Mike, considering he's been with them for awhile now and it's not helping matters that he can't speak English.

Maybe it's a flashback. Remember in Sayid's flashback he switched to English? It just saves subtitles.

Doubt it. None of the other Jin/Sun flashbacks were in English. Because Jin doesn't speak it. Sayid probably knew English (what with the British accent and all).

True. But when Sayid was interrogating the guy he switched. Maybe because Sun might not be involved, so they could just use English.

Or not, seeing how I didn't see the preview. :P

If you notice how the episode of Sayid's is shot, his character never stops speaking Iraqi(is that a language?). They just didn't want to have a whole episode with subtitles and I also think it had to do with getting a whole group of people to speak Iraqi, which is hard when Naveen doesn't even speak it.
