We're okay so far. Hasn't really hit yet--a little rain, a restless wind, a few momentary blackouts. Apparently it's supposed to really get here "between midnight and six a.m.," as opposed to "by two o'clock this afternoon." Mom made a cake and I'm eating one of those little DiGiorno pizzas. Everyone's fine.

You, if you have an IQ over 12, know whether your house will survive a bunch of fucking wind.
You take your shit to a shelter.
Wind comes by, you leave and you go "Oooh, lookit all the trees that fell over!"
Yeah, I joke because I'm evil and heartless.

Date: 2005-07-11 03:17 am (UTC)OT: Diane Duane talks about fanfic
Date: 2005-07-11 03:36 am (UTC)She has a rare perspective, having written fanfic for money (Star Trek novelizations), fanfic for her own enjoyment, and, as a professional novelist, she commits fiction regularly. She can claim to have been on all three sides of the fence, a neat fic trick.
Anyway, here's (http://wizcast.youngwizards.net/10_July_2005_Some_Thoughts_On_Fanfic.mp3) her podcast. Only an mp3 player is required to listen to it.
