Get your pimp requests in, kids, because today's the last day of Pimp Request Amnesty Week (although maybe I'll do another one next month):

From theonlykow: "So I normally don't ask for stuff like this, but it is your pimp week (apparently) and despite our pastry/confection disagreements, I ask for a pimp of my new layout community, not_layouts. I do layouts (pretty layouts! GORGEOUS LAYOUTS!) for people for free, and although I appreciate donations of paid time and whatnot, I really only do it because I have a shitload of creativity that I have no outlet for. Also, I love layouts. Also, I get bored easily."

From sapphires13: "I'm trying to increase awareness of my graphics requests community morethanicons. We make just about everything, from icons, to wallpapers, to whatever. But business, so to speak, is slow. Advertising in promo communities full of people advertising their Paris Hilton infused rating communities, just isn't getting the job done. Nor is it bringing me the quality of requests that I desire."

Yay boogieking! At least someone's got my back. And I'll admit, PB sucks. It's not like you can create terribly sophisticated web pages or anything on it. But when I was trying to do daily movie news updates, which were complicated enough to write, much less code, it was a lifesaver.

Well, he was all, "I want my site to let you stream videos from our gigs, and download 30-second clips and do fifty million other things, and I want you to teach me how to do all of this myself, but I want to be able to do it all in Page Builder.

Me: I...um. That's...wow. No.

Actually, I could probably get by with Page Builder, but then how would I fulfill my need to waste hours on useless coding of things?

And one day, I will learn to log out/log in before I comment. But today is not that day.

I started with geocities and pagebuilder, but moved to something just as easy but a LOT more versitile that makes cleaner code. I now use mozilla suite. (http://www.mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/) The mozilla browser has a composer with it that i've been using for a couple years now and didn't need to know any html to get started. all the pages on both www.sh33pie.com and www.deadplanet.info were made with it.

I just realized I splatted two birds with one stone since i was going to ask you to pimp those sites anyway. ;)

Dead Planet (http://www.deadplanet.info) is a zombie conspiracy page that includes fiction, art, a zombie newspaper, horoscopes, loads of other stuff.

The Sh33p's Fluff (http://www.sh33pie.com) is my main site and home to loads of Daria fanfic, and other odd ends.
