It might be better than you think— it's really impossible to judge a piece of writing immediately after you've written it. The perspective just isn't there yet. My understanding is that this is not a one draft project, so revision may fix whatever's broken now.

Also, if you can get into that giggly-snarky-having-fun-with-it kinda mind-frame you'll like the results more, no matter what other people end up thinking of it.

Your Garbage fanness rocks. You're missing "Not My Idea." That may be my favorite track off the first album. Well, that's a hard track to pick, since there are a lot of greats. And dude, you have "Girl Don't Come" without "Lick the Pavement." I usually listen to those two together because they rock so hard in a similar way. Oh, and "Enough Is Never Enough" seems like a good pumping-up song. "Trip My Wire"! I love "Metal Heart."

I don't know that I have "Lick the Pavement." I don't have any of the non-album songs on CD, I know that for sure, and I didn't really burn all three to my hard drive--I just picked the songs I liked best. For some reason, I think I like the first CD the least (which is still a lot). I love "Special," but for some reason didn't put it on my computer until last night.

I used to go to a restaurant with my grandparents when I was about 5 or 6. (GAH - 22 to 23 years ago) It was called (no joke) The Hen House. I would then proceed to order a "supper breakfast" and a "coke and a smile." (remember that coke commercial?)

I think I may be the only person on Earth that doesn't like waffles. They taste great, but because I'm slightly OCD, I always have to eat them a square at a time, and that's just exhausting.

Breakfast for dinner is the best. Especially after seven hour flights to California, when you arrive at 11:30pm and all that's open is the all-night diner. Waffles are made with heaven-based batter.

"WAFFLES, BITCHES" -- rofl. I have the feeling that "wafflebitch" should be a recognized term. Like: wafflebitch (WAH-ful-bitch) -- n. A person of inferior standing who produces waffles on demand.
Overly specific? Perhaps. But then, so many of our words are. (Like "bagel." If you think about it, a "bagel" is a pretty random thing to have a word all of its own.)
