P.S. Regarding last week's episode: people reported hearing "We are the survivors of Flight 815," while closed captioning (and I saw the pictures someone took of the screen to prove it) read, "There were no survivors of Flight 815." Over at Snarkfest, someone pointed out that, while they can't find the actual post, supposedly the writers confirmed over at The Fuselage (a board where the cast and crew are known to join in) that the voice on the other end was supposed to say "We are the survivors of Flight 815." So apparently closed captioning really did say "There were no," but closed captioning (as it sometimes is) was wrong.

I will leave it to y'all to discuss whose voice it actually was, although I have heard some interesting theories.

Wow. I had no idea what they were saying on the other end. Could that mean that Rose was right and the other half of the plane DID survive? That's some crazy stuff right there.

PS. I'm so excited about the episode tonight...according to the TV Guide with the Josh Holloway interview, Claire's definitely having her baby tonight!

Never trust the closed captioning, especially with a show this concerned about plotlines not getting out. The people doing the closed captioning might not be getting the show until the very last minute, and they're not getting the script. (Says the girl who used to get away with watching TV when she was grounded by turning down the volume on my bedroom TV and putting on the closed captioning.) Just had to say that. :)

So if it's Boone, and then Boone dies...Maybe they'll do a space-cases type thing, and bring Boone back from another plane of existence (not sure for the spelling of that kind of plane) except rather than it being Boone's supposedly imaginary friend (as was the case in space-cases) it'll be alternate Boone! So he will die, only...he'll come back!

I don't want Boone to die in the first place, and I think the show has a firm enough foot in reality (albeit a skewed reality) that they wouldn't go THAT far. Although, if it's a semi-plausible return, I dunno, maybe...

Gahhhh...

I'm gonna go get the tissues out and set the ep on my vcr to record tonight's episode. (I'm still not entirely convinced it's Boone, prove us wrong J.J.!)

I definitely heard "We're the survivors of Flight 815!" because my mum made me get really close to the TV and listen. I also heard someone say "We're getting a transmission!" before that, and it doesn't seem like the sort of thing you'd say if your job was to receive transmissions.

However, all of that could just be my tape. I was in the hospital and my mum had to tape it for me, and our recorder? not good. at all.

I thought I heard the voice at the other end say "there were no survivors" but there was a loud noise right at that part so it was hard to tell. Although, the alternative is a bit creepy since I had a dream a few weeks ago that there were other survivors on the island but they were evil and killing everyone off. Well now I don't know what to think. =0/
