Mar. 5th, 2005 12:18 amI just saw The Jacket, and there are so many things in that movie that were left unexplained--threads that were just left hanging--or that at least The Lovely Emily and I did not understand. Sigh. Adrien Brody (who I'm not even all that fond of) and Keira Knightley were pretty awesome, however.
Aaaaaand the Fametracker forums are closing. POTO girls, feel free to come over here any time (spread the word).
(Sniff. I always told myself I'd know I'd made it as a writer when I got a thread in Publishing & Multimedia for a book I'd written. A thread! A thread of my very own! I dreamed a dream and that dream is dead! Woe.)
(I had a couple glasses of wine and a margarita tonight. Can you tell?)

Date: 2005-03-05 06:41 am (UTC)Yeah, I had never actually watched Ellen before, and while I like Ellen herself, I was sort of like, "Dancing in the audience to '80s funk with monkey puppets whaaaaaaat?"

Date: 2005-03-05 09:25 am (UTC)Adrien Brody was pretty good. Kiera not so much. Story was not as good as it could have been and way too many lose ends. And the end kind of struck me as pedophilian.. pedophillic... whatever. It was disappointing int he way Taking Lives and The Fogotten were disappointing - they all could have been so much better. But sadly, weren't.
