Still working on "King Arthur in Fifteen Minutes." Bad storm today--had to shut down for a while. Finished Perfume while I was waiting--very good, and one of those books you read and you finish and you think, "Well, that was one of a kind." The funny thing was, it's not only set in the 1700s but actually reminded me of books I'd read for my 18th C. lit class--Candide, for example.

Having a lot of fun with "King Arthur"--much easier than the Harry Potter one, mostly because it's easier to make fun of. Cleaning old files off my computer at the moment, as I've dipped below 200 mb available storage again, and Betsy is freezing up with alarming frequency. Have switched from MP3 player to CD/stereo to ease the workload for her--probably for the best, because "Bailamos" came on my random MP3 mix while I was writing, and I could totally imagine Arthur and Guinevere salsa dancing. (Good luck trying to get that image out of your head now!)

Anyway. Am way behind on Crappy Random Things That Have to Be Done, but whatever; saw a movie, read a book, wrote some good stuff. I've just given up trying to be funny or trying to live up to anything previous and have just been jotting down things that made me, personally, laugh.

GUINEVERE: Hey, baby! Hey baby, you so fine, baby!

ARTHUR: *keeps riding*

GUINEVERE: I've heard lots of stories about you, about how you're a big strong killative man.

ARTHUR: *keeps riding*

GUINEVERE: Hey, can I borrow a cup of sex?

ARTHUR: *rides away*

GUINEVERE: DAMMIT.

Mostly because I've seen very little [Meaning of Life, a few Flying Circus episodes]. Yes, I know that makes me a very inferior human being.
