I am so incredibly tired and overloaded right now. So much for the concept of weekend-as-leisure.

A few things, including pictures of Sam: Florence + The Machine's deadpan (for lack of a better word) cover of "Addicted to Love," which I can't stop singing along to.

Edward Cullen needs a good home, likes his chin scratched. The entry there on my Tumblr is an explanatory email and the two pictures, which a reader sent me. Look at that FACE. That SAD, CHAGRINED FACE, wanting to know who named him this and WHY.

ETA: YOU GUYS. No one has adopted him yet! Surely SOMEONE reading this can go over to Seattle (of course it's Seattle) and rescue him! Look at his sweet little face! It's saying, "Please, don't let one of them take me home. You know the ones. Please don't let them put a sparkle collar on me. I won't even watch you sleep, I promise. Seriously, I'm a cat, I'm the one who does the sleeping."


I also got a couple of small packages of doll accessories in the mail, although I'm not sure who from. One of them did include this, however. This, which is a real thing.

Meanwhile, Sam has gotten a fresh summer cut and is snugglier than ever, if a little wary of the camera/phone.

And now, I'm going to... I don't know, sleep, or stare at a wall or something.

Now that I've listened to that song, I must say I LOVE when artists cover classic songs in a way that seems to completely change the meaning.

Like Greg Laswell's version of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9aCYejQLkA). That's one of my faves. He makes the song from this, like girl power thing to a sad view of a girl ruining her life. Florence and the Machines take a love song and make it SO CREEPY.

I've been fighting the urge to get an animal for YEARS now because I can't afford it, but I am telling you right now if that poor cat was in driving distance from me, I would adopt him in a heartbeat.

Oh. My. Gosh. I would so adopt that cat in a heartbeat. But we already have two cats - one just had kittens and we're still trying to pawn the last two off on somebody. Add in the adventurous little weenie dog that likes to maul our poor kitties - yep, we have hit our limit on pets.

But I must echo what others have mentioned - someone should adopt that cat and change his name. That is animal cruelty.

Heee! He has golden eyes and such pale vampirey fur. Also, the doll condoms could be a blessing in disguise. If Tonner Edward and Bella ever get to a place in their relationship where they want to break some headboards you won't have to worry about a Renesmee showing up. Oh God I just thought... do you think Tonner will make a Lyra sized Renesmee doll after Breaking Dawn? It would have to come with a warning to keep it away from the Jacob doll until 16.

Depending on how grown the Renesmee is by the end of the movie? I could totally see them using a Marley body. I think they have a smaller, "younger" doll as well. They could totally do it.

And even if they don't, I have ideas.

My family regularly fosters puppies for a local rescue. Because it's a nice thing to do, plus we get to play with puppies for a few weeks and then give them away.

The rescue names litter of puppies by themes. I've seen themes of cookies, cities, the Brady Bunch, Thomas the Tank Engine, and many others. If there is something with over four types or people, they will name puppies after them.

We've taken care of some Thomas puppies (Clarabel and Annie), a few of "Florida Cities" (Miami, Sanibel, and Melbourne), and the last couple we got- from the "Twilight Pups".

We got Bella and Mike. There was also a Edward, Jacob, Alice, and maybe two others. Bella is an okay name for a dog but- Mike? Really? So the whole time we had him, we called him Marshall. He was Marshal Marshall Dog, after the character from In Plain Sight.

But, what people have to remember when naming their pets after beloved (to them) characters is that, someday, you will have to scream "EDWARD CULLEN! DON'T YOU DARE POOP ON THE CARPET!" or say to someone "Edward Cullen threw up in the hall and i stepped in it." or, best yet- "I found out that Edward has been killing mice and hiding them in my closet in my shoes."
