PH34R mY PH0t0SH0P SK1llz!

You know, just in case you were wondering what the hell that [B^[ bit in Dracula recap was.

I've really been trying to find some Dracula pictures--specifically from the 1979 movie, I mean--to do icons with, but... you'd be surprised how few there are out there. Woe. However, I am feeling inordinately proud of my new JournalFen icon:

Okay. So. Here's my schedule:

ASAP: Email professors about schedule, classes I have left to take, and how to get started on thesis work.

Tonight, 10 pm, recap Friday ep of Days that I missed (rerun on SoapNet. They rerun the whole week on Sunday nights).

Monday: Recap The Big Days Twist episode scheduled for tomorrow. Update Digest on pain of head death.

Sometime: Work on next M15M and fourth chapter of Black Ribbon.

The problem: Let me put it this way, there's a reason my blog is called "Short Attention Span Theater." Shit, I should probably update that, too. ("Hon, why do you have a blog and a journal?" "Uh... I had the blog first! And then I got on LJ! And the blog is basically linkspam, and no one wants that on their f-list, right? RIGHT?") I'm just terrible at getting things done, mostly because I start multi-tasking and then I just wander off on some tangent. So I'm going to need y'all's help to stick to the schedule. How? I don't know. Think productive thoughts for me ("I do believe in working, I do! I do!"), or something. Bitch in the comments. I don't know.

Oh, and if you've asked me something, or asked me for something, and I haven't ponied up, please remind me. (I know I owe someone an Almost Famous icon, and now I totally can't remember who.) I'm not ducking you or avoiding you or blowing you off--I'm just that big a space cadet, I swear.

What's your thesis going to be on/about?

Well, I'm in the creative writing program, so it's basically just a writing project of some length--a chapbook of poems, or a novel, or a short story collection. I really want to do Black Ribbon for that--my serial that I have online, so there's sort of a hypertext/graphic art thing going on that could make it more interesting than your generic grad student novel. And it would force me to finish it, which is always good. :)

I'm the one whom you owe an Almost Famous icon. ;-)

I finally read what tomorrow's big twist is, and I'm still laughing. I can't wait to see this week. And to read your recaps, especially. Woo!

Yay! I was going crazy trying to remember. I think you asked for Silkscreen, and I can do that, but I ended up playing with fonts and came up with this:

That's perfect! Thank you so much! I love it.

If you ever need anything uncreatively cropped and written on with a boring, hard-to-read text, let me know! (It's my specialty, yo.)

I PH34R THEM! I do. Lmao.

Is that Jem? I looooved Jem when I was tres little. How did you get the letters to have pink outlines? (I'm an Adobe novice, too.)

Oh, Lord. Let's see if I can explain this... I have PS 6, so keep that in mind. Get your text up on the picture. Go down to the layers box in the lower right-hand corner. Look for a tiny little *f* at the bottom of that. Click that, and some options come up. Choose "stroke." On the "structure" bar, move it all the way back to one, and choose which color you want.

P.S. Jem bases for anyone to use, as long as there's no hotlinking to anything: http://img12.photobucket.com/albums/v36/cleolinda/jem7/

Heh, seriously. I tend to adopt just about anything in exactly the same series of steps:

1. What's that, precious? I want to do that!

2. Yay! Now I have that!

3. I don't know how to work it! *cries and flails*

4. Oooo, I kinda get it! *falls over, skins knee*

5. CLEO PWNS J00!

I'm in the creative writing program, but I took some Renaissance lit and 18th-century lit classes. Had an antebellum lit class (1830s-1850s ish) that was a lot of fun. I'm looking at a Renaissance PhD program, if I can get a fellowship or something.

Sounds like fun, fun, fun :) (I'm being serious btw - sarcasm is hard to interpret on LJ)

I am majoring in english, so I know where you are coming from.

This is one of the rerasons you're on my f-list, actually. It's a trait we have in common.

I'm almost totally sure you owe me $1 million, just to help you remember and all. I mean, get it to me whenever, that's OK.

it's "fear" in serious netspeak. I think.

Yeah, it's just "fear" in l33t-speak hacker talk. Except that I could never fear anyone who talked like that, which is why it's funny to me. PH34R! :)

Looooved the Dracula in 15 mins! Sheer literary genius as always.

Hey I can't bitch at you for being unproductive, here's me commenting on your LJ whilst at work getting paid to be productive. *cough*

I totally PH34R your photoshop skills of doom. :-) I have had photoshop for what seems like eons and I haven't bothered my backside to find out how to do anything other than crop images! LOL!

Looked for some Dracula pics for you, all I could find was.... (you've probably seen these all already)

WAHHHHH! The Spanish page says there's a photo gallery and then there isn't one! ERROR! *cries*

It's spifforama after that, though. Must! Not! Make! Icons! Must! Be! Productive!

*goes to make icons*

I can't decide if it is worse that you are looking for these photos or that I HAVE one... I think the fact that I have one is worse, but more embarrassing is that we have a poster from this film on the wall in my parents' basement... :p

D'oh! *slaps head*

I'm Zombie Queen on FT. And if you frequent TWoP, I'm Ripple over there.

Re: Same Name

From: [identity profile] cleolinda.livejournal.com
Well, normally I would have just assumed you used the same name both places, but the new FT software wouldn't let me reregister "cleolinda," so now I'm PrincessCleo over there. I think I'm still cleolinda at TWOP, although I rarely, if ever, post. They kinda scare me over there, the TWOP posters...

Hee! I wouldn't know; I only post to the Pixel Challenges in TV Potluck, because I'm a sick, sick Photoshop addict.
