That said, I'm not that concerned about it - I have faith in Johnny Depp. I mean, I was so terrified when Charlie and the Chocolate Factory photos first appeared (as a huge Gene Wilder fan), but I ended up loving that movie, as odd as it is.

I am dying laughing either way. He is always, always determined to make himself look insane, not at ALL understanding that it's his absurd good looks that help bring in the dollahs. He wanted to slice off his nose in PotC, have fake ears/nose in Sleepy Hollow, he added the skunk-stripe in Sweeney Todd...I love this boy too much. TOO MUCH.

I'm not averse to it, I just had this madcap idea that it was going to be a fairly straightforward presentation. Thinking back, I don't know what gave me that idea. I should know better with Burton.

Or maybe Johnny's just feeling method and this is how he's going to dress while DOING the voice.
