So we're definitely not seeing Trelawney being awesome and throwing crystal balls at Death Eaters? Awww.

Then again, it's not like they gave her anything great to do ever.

And it's not like they would have written it in anyway.

Okay, original Star Trek is my favorite of all the Star Treks except for when Q shows up. I love Shatner. I love his image, I love his cheesiness. But he best be steppin' off Takei before I need to whoop his ass. I didn't really care about Takei until I saw his video a couple years ago about the basketball player, and since then he's gotten progressively awesomer (probably because I'm just now paying attention.) Bill - I love you man, but just let it go. He wins because he's got class, humor, and not being weird and bitchy on his side.

re: The Core. It's a really cute movie, as long as you go into it knowing that the writer knew it was all crap science. John Rogers has a blog called "Kung Fu Monkey." There are several posts about his time writing The Core, plus his insights into screenwriting in general. As for the whole thing about him co-writing Catwoman (a movie which did completely suck), he only wrote one line that made it into the final film, which was the line spoken by Halle Berry when she was in jail and the cat comes through the window: "At least Lassie would have brought me the key." The rest of the script he just read over and edited a bit. So the fact that he accepted the Razzie for crap he didn't write earns him points in my book.

There, I think I'm done. :)

Ok, I admit it, the Trekkie in me just shed a tiny tear of joy when reading about those four scenes shown to the journos. I've been very trepidatious (and I'm not keen on the new old Enterprise), but those scenes sound wonderful. It was the mention of Nimoy's scene which really gave me geeky joy, but I'm also now really looking forward to seeing Horseboy's turn as Bones. When I first heard about his casting I thought it was a terrible decision - Bones is not meant to be a hottie! - but apparently our little Rohir has DeForrest's voice and mannerisms down beautifully.

http://www.wbbm780.com/Tickets-Sell-Out-For--Twilight--Star-s-Mall-Appear/3304913

"ORLAND PARK, Ill. (CBS 2/STNG) ― Tickets for an appearance by "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson at the Orland Square Mall went on sale early and were gone within an hour.

Meanwhile, given the riots in San Francisco surrounding a mall appearance by Pattinson there, the Orland Park Police Department has geared up for the actor's scheduled appearance early Wednesday evening.

In addition, the mall's own security force is said to be ''totally ready'' for the expected hordes of tween and teen girls, who make up the bulk of fans for the Twilight saga of books, penned by Stephanie Meyer.

Tickets had been scheduled to go on sale at 7:15 a.m., but so many people came ahead of time that organizers decided to begin ticket sales by 11 p.m. Tuesday night. By midnight, they were all gone.

One woman told CBS 2 she drove from Fort Wayne, Ind., only to find out she could not get a ticket. She said the rules for getting tickets indicated that nobody would be allowed to stand in line overnight, and claimed that she and several others who came from farther distances missed out on tickets even though they followed the rules.

At 6:15 a.m., a group of 300 people assembled outside the mall. Police asked the entire group to leave on threat of arrest, but by 7:15 a.m., a new crowd had assembled"

Yeah - this is going to go well....
