Quiet day. Checked email and things on and off, but mostly spent the day outside in this foreign thing you call "sunshine" and away from the computer, if only because my strain-induced eyelid twitch was starting to get really bad. I feel like a total punk, but... if I needed the rest, I guess I needed it. Decompression time, maybe. I was getting to one of those OMG STFU INTERNET points again.

(Nope, not doing NaNoWriMo. It's still National Save My Family's Finances Month over here.)

(Update on Pete: he's better and has gotten his stitches out. But not before he was able to chew his lampshade off. No, I don't know how you do that, either.)

Also, I hear some of y'all are having a hard time getting the page to load in a timely fashion--I hate to say it, but I think my Halloween background was dragging it down. That should be less of a problem now--sorry about that.

I'm glad Pete's getting well! But Jesus, chewing the cone? *eye twitch* That's like at my job, we had this dog who chewed her own collar off. I have no idea.

Sunlight is good, as is relaxation. :)

Is your twitch actually in your eyelid or your eye? Because I've experienced both before. The eyelid one is persistent and annoying, but doesn't hurt. The one actually in the eye is pulses of pain. Taking B-12 vitamins helps it, though. [And keeps your blood nice and rich for your vampire boyfriend, Sookie!] Although it sounds like in your case it is stress-induced, but I thought I'd share just in case.

No, no, it's just the eyelid(s)--one time I got a weird little jump right under my eyebrow. Too much work in front of the computer brings it on, usually.

And keeps your blood nice and rich for your vampire boyfriend

Heh.

Heh. That so sounds like Edward, too. THIS IS THE SKIN OF A KILLER, BELLA. NO, DON'T TOUCH ME, I AM A MONSTER, JUST LAST NIGHT I BROKE EMMETT'S STEREO!

And what's with the ears?

...Is it the way the did his hair?

Or did they give him freakin' elf ears?

LOL - Certain Dollens may enjoy that....

Yeah, I think he does have elf ears. SPARKLY elf ears. Perhaps he should move to Lothlorien. He'd fit right in among all the SPARKLES, what with his SPARKLY skin and his SPARKLY elf ears. SPARKLE SPARKLE SPARKLE SPARKLE.
Plus, some of those elves were pretty angsty, too.

OMFG. I think we've just discovered Edwards' true nature.

you know, I'm frankly surprised that he gives Bella that apple after it touches him. I HAVE DIRTIED IT WITH MY HANDS. THE TAINTED FRUIT MUST NOT TOUCH HER PUREST LIPS.

Yeah, considering the amount of stuff that I see by you online in addition to the various projects that you always have brewing, a day off to refamiliarize yourself with the outside sounds like it was a good idea. And NaNoWriMo would be a nightmare if you participated, I suspect. Good moves all around.

Heh, yeah. I've signed up a couple of times, and inevitably I give up on it in like two days. It's just not the way my mind works--I need to be able to flit around from project to project, not hunker down on one for a month solid. I don't really have a problem producing quantity per se, so it's not an exercise I need, I guess.

It's good to get out in the sun for awhile. I think the pasty look is passe nowadays anyway. Besides, you might be mistaken for a vampire and lord knows we wouldn't want that! Especially if there's no sparkling involved!

I've been following your fun with the twitching eyelid and I've got to say that I've been dealing with it too. Stress, too little sleep, too much computer and too much caffeine. It's be going on for weeks now.

However, my sister who is a massage therapist, taught me that there is a pressure point in your cheek that will stop the eyelid from twitching. And it totally works. What you need to do is press on your cheek at the lowest part of your cheekbone just by your nose. Do it under the eye that twitches. It takes a little work to find the right point. I found that mine is just a little below the bottom of my nose and over about a half inch from the nostril.

If you press there, kind of pressing up against the bottom of your cheekbone (firmly but not really hard) for a few seconds, it stops the twitching. My eye always starts back up again a few hours later but this trick has kept me from losing my mind.

Oh wow. I'm gonna have fun pressing random parts of my face for the next couple of hours...

Yeah, I haven't figured out how to do it and not look like a total dork. I find my eye acts up the most in stressful situations like meetings and I can either sit there and wink at people or start poking my own face. It's really amazing that anyone at work still speaks to me.
