Oh, wow, who sent me the Polidori chocolates? There's no note in the box, and I can't remember if someone actually told me in advance or not. (These days I've started forgetting my own characters' first names, so really, it's my own impending senility we're talking about here.)

(Still working on Midnight Sun #2. Had a nice long sleeps, breakfast, and then another long sleeps, and now I'm going to have lunch, because I'm going to need refreshed recap mojo if I'm going to deal with the Port Angeles dinner date... OF DOOM.)

Do you know if it's possible to get hung over from one (fairly stiff) drink? I had about two shots worth of liquor last night (40 proof, say), and woke up this morning with a headache, dehydrated, and generally feeling like I'd been run over by a Hummer.

Yeah, it can depend on how much you've had to eat, how hydrated you are (really, that's the biggest thing), and what kind of liquor it was. Wine, champagne and tequila do different things to me than just regular liquor, for example. I generally avoid hangovers by staying up and drinking water until I feel soberer.
