Heck yes! Don't mess with HP, Stephanie...lol.
YES! Oh, I LOVE that. LOVE. Hmm, and my icon is frighteningly apropos.
HA! Them sparklies don't impress. :-PPPPP
Is it bad that I want to go pre order Beedle, even though I hadn't heard of it until today, just to keep it head of Twilight?
Yeeeeesssss. It made my day, it did.
Edward is still the SPARKLIEST, though.

It says "Updated Hourly." So is that just a testament to the last hour (which would be no surprise at all) or total pre-orders for all time (which would be delicious schadenfreude)?
Oh, that's the current number of pre-orders they have on the system. Obviously, once a book ships, it's not on there anymore. Hell, *I* held #1 for a day or so and I only sold 5000 copies.
Still, it's impressive that Beedle could have more pre-orders on the entire system than a book that's been on there for months and is coming out tomorrow (as in, anyone who wants to pre-order, has).

In the UK it's fourth (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/bestsellers/books/ref=pd_dp_ts_b_1)...
This makes me happy.

Fuck yeah, I prefer Chinese food to sappy fic, too. I HEAR YOU, BRITS.
How much do you want to bet that, after all the HP comparisons, JK picked the pre order date on purpose? ;)
And once again, all was right with the world...
I do feel better, now that you mention it.
*craving the collector's edition something fierce*
*nods sadly* I just keep looking at it, and a small voice inside cries, "Waaaannntt..."
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! That is pure justice there!
I DANCE FOR JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait... they're... making available a hardcore, I mean, hardcover version of the Beedle Bard book that is practically a replica of the original that sold for a gajillion dollars (allright, not quite) to Amazon.com itself months ago? And it's up for... $100? Most importantly, how is it that I'm ever slightly tempted to say um actually buy it? (Note: I have NOT read DH yet, therefore I don't even have the slightest clue as what this book should be about nor I'm aware of its importance in canon or whatsoever). I... guess... I... well... eeeeek.

I don't know what it's about either; I haven't even heard of it before right now.
Although, knowing my mother, once she catches wind of it, she'll lust after it something fierce...

El, I want the collector's edition so badly!
So right now Meyer is blowing into a box of gold kleenex, distraught Rowling is able to buy herself a box of platinum ones?
I'm confused. Why is this special? Nothing will ever trump HP. Not for a looong time. The only people who thought otherwise were the same kind of people who think it's nice to ask a 21 year old kid what kind of underwear he's got on.
Well, partly this is just me pointing out that Beedle was announced and went on pre-order today, period. The other part is me laughing at the people running around saying, "Twilight is bigger than Harry Potter!" Um, no.
Ah, JKR showing wannabe Stephenie Meyer HOW IT'S DONE.
Is that a whiff of tasty, tasty Schadenfreude pie I'm smelling?

Oh man. Now I really want to see Watchmen overtake it as well, for a truly fulfilling fandom experience.
Me too!
Also: ICON LOVE. Have you seen Shinga's other comics, too? Or her Twilight parody over on her LJ? They're all kinds of awesome. XD
