Hey guys--if you're waiting for an update tonight, go on to bed; I'm swamped with work and can't do a linkspam tonight. Although, yes, I have heard about the Breaking Dawn spoiler over at Entertainment Weekly (ew.com, I don't have the link on me at the moment), and... it's really not much of a spoiler, except that it then leaves you wondering what the hell the rest of the book will be about. Also, there are a ton of spoilers floating around from a book that apparently got sold early, and I swear to you, if you come here and leave me a comment or a macro or anything that gives a plot point away, it's a Galadriel Smash for you.

Linky link! (http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,20215228,00.html) Right on the front page, so not that hard to find.

The Breaking Dawn epilogue, if the spoilers are true, is like a bad fanfic version of the Deathly Hallows epilogue. It actually heartens me that Breaking Dawn will be filled with tremendous hilarity, and not just fail.

Also, have you seen the Wolverine trailer from Comic Con yet? Didn't see it mentioned in your CC round-up. I'd provide a link, but the one I had has been removed, urgh. It's freaking awesome though. I'll see if I can find it again. (Icon made from Gambit caps of the trailer.)

I can't help it, I want to share it everywhere. Like feathers to the tropical wind.

I'd be wary of the internetz for the next few days, then. The epilogue "spoilers" & related macros seem to be everywhere: Livejournal, Yahoo Answers, etc. etc. etc.

I was wondering if that was a compliment for Meyer/insult for Rowling or vice versa.

Love it now that I know what it's for. ;)

Her publisher must want to kick her for giving out spoilers like this. She's a dimwit.

Okay, you are a bad influence, Ms. Cleolinda. I bought the books and read them because your blog inspired curiosity; now two people at my work have latched on to them because I had them. I have to live with the fact that I had a part in making a perfectly normal woman into a... a... (what did you call them? oh YEAH!!) midnight party-bound Twihard. :D

And those books do sink into you, that's for sure. I just am having a hard time being excited for her to turn into a vampire when it means she will have this glum, emo existence and have predatory, serial killer urges for eternity. Leaves a scummy taste on my brain, or I would be squeeing at the midnight party myself. And I find it little consolation that Edward is her reward, for some reason. It just doesn't seem like she gets ahead in this deal, even with Edward to sweeten it.

And I have a question in my head... if tearing into vampires sounds like rending apart rock, what does vampire sex sound like? There is a honeymoon to consider...

Please please please let Bella be turned into a vampire and Edward totally lose interest. It's the shock twist you wouldn't expect!

That would be the best ending ever, imo.

only a few more days, I also hope to avoid spoilers...

in the mean time, there is this interview with Rob, where every thing he says is just pure gold
http://www.ropeofsilicon.com/comic-con/?p=87

Speaking of effects, have you seen any of the sparkle-dazzle look yet?

RP: No I haven’t. I’m really worried about that–well I’m not worried–but that’s kind of the big reveal. And I have no idea. I know it’s almost impossible to do it without making it look kind of cheesy. I think there is a company that’s been working on that–they’ve been working on it for months. And it’s just one scene. I think it’s very difficult. They tried about 40 make-up tests. Everything is so hard. We had these little things that were like flakes of salt. It was just disgusting…So many poor ADs on set had to keep on having make-up tests. There was this one bald guy, his whole head painted blue, had an accident. He just had this blue head and he couldn’t get it off for like 4 days.

Robert, first you were in the Harry Potter film and now you’re in this other possible fan-driven franchise. Did you give any though to that?

RP: It was strange when I read, I didn’t put the two things together at all. It’s kind of dumb of me not to. Right now it’s specifically known as the next Harry Potter blah blah. Just really odd how that’s happened.

:)

I know, seriously. Although there are later spoilers now that Meyer didn't release herself, and people are getting way upset about those, apparently.

Not Twilight related, but I thought you'd like to know the HP6 teaser came out early and it is pretty good. The actual MSN video link is forever long, but they've linked to it over on Mugglenet. Cheers.
