The new Twilight trailer is fully up. (Someone doesn't like their thunder getting stolen by Watchmen, eh?) I'd watch it, but anything involving vampire baseball uniforms sets me off laughing, so of course they lead with that. I'll just have to wait until I'm captive in the Batman theater to make it all the way through, I guess.

I KNOW RIGHT. I keep hoping that it's like The Golden Compass, where they didn't release footage of the daemons until fairly late in the game, because they were CGI and all. Which is to say, I hope there's some techie hard at work painting sparkles on RPattz right now.

See, even in THE BOOK they didn't have ACTUAL UNIFORMS. In the book it was just like, "Hey, my vampire family's gonna go play some baseball, come watch," which was hilarious enough. Then, ACTUAL UNIFORMS.

For all that Bella's pendantic accounting of Edward's vampire traits sounds dumb, its so.... BELLA. I mean, yeesh.

I did like the moment where James smelled her for the first time. Is it just me or is Cam Gigandet channeling Brad Pitt a la Interview with the Vampire? No complaints on that count.

I saw a glimmer of Louis there, definitely. And Louis is my favorite fictional vampire (especially in the book). He is, I admit it. So, Cam is the only one that makes the trailer enjoyable for a good reason rather than a reason of hilariously epic fail.

You know, interestingly (and rather frighteningly) Cam Whateverhisnameis is the only one whose performance doesn't make me start giggling. I think it's because he's lacking the painful sincerity of everyone else and seems to just be hamming it up, which sort of works.
