Sorry it's been quiet over here for a while--I don't know if I just got wildly off my sleep cycle or what, but I've felt like a zombie the last few days, and my eyes have been killing me since Saturday night (dry, itchy, burning a little). After getting a decent night's sleep they're a lot better today, but still. I'm buried under a couple of things that have to get done at the moment, and in addition to that, both Sam and Shelby have developed some kind of canine stomach complaint where they frisk about for a couple of hours, unleash epic amounts of... blarg on the carpet, and then go right back to what they were doing. Also, my grandmother is still suffering with the shingles. So... many regular activities have been suspended chez moi for a little while. Sorry about that.

Get better soon! I shall pray for you. We Muslims are quite good at that. ^.^

(And continuing mad props for your work on Lexicongate. I am so nominating you for sainthood or something once this is all over.)

Heh, thanks. That's one of the things I'm tied up with at the moment, mostly because I feel like the copyright angle is important, and that it could really suck for fandom if WB loses and all the other major media corporations start going after fansites, lest failure to do so be seen as abandoning their rights. You know, in line with this whole argument that because they and JKR allowed the website, they waived their right to stop anything else.

I agree. I don't just want RDR to lose because I think they're stupid. I want them to lose because I love fandom and fansites and all the rest of it, and I don't want to see any of that threatened because one guy wants to make money off someone else's copyrighted material.

(Randomly, I introduced an RL friend to it yesterday and he spend half an hour just boggling at statements like "David versus Voldemort battle". It was great fun.)

Did he see the bit about Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Because there have been some jawdroppers in this whole saga, but nothing to touch that.

Is it heat exhaustion, with your dogs I mean? My brother used to have a pit bull who never knew when to stop playing - she would run and run and not let off until she threw up. My brother had to be very careful to regulate how much she ran, and to make sure she drank plenty of water. What with spring starting to come around, could overheating themselves be the problem with your pups?

Well, throwing up is... not the only thing they're doing. And Sam had a particularly... funky episode the other night, when it was about 50 degrees outside. And he was upstairs. Just outside my room. No, I'm not bitter...

Oooo, unpleasant.. My mom [a vet] says that the back door issues also sometimes accompany heat exhaustion, but if it's not particularly hot out, I'm not sure what it could be. Living with a cat that regularly steps backwards in his litter box for some inane reason right after going to the bathroom, then proceeds to run it all over the house, I feel your pain.

*gigglesnort* That's not funny but ....it is @_@ My first kitty [rest his sweet little soul] never learned how to properly ...er..cover..things up in the box. He would instead try to use the wall or the toilet [the box was in my bath] to cover. This was ceaselessly entertaining so long as we never ran out of room spray. You could be just about anywhere in the house and know when he'd gone so you could go head off the smelly, because you'd hear the 'scritch scritch scRITCH*why isn't this wall working???*scriiiiitch' on the walls.

That's so weird. I've had the same thing. I got MORE sleep than usual and still felt tired.

In regard to your feeling tired/eye scratchy - are you feeling really dry other ways, but not -going- any more than usual? It sounds like you have what my hubby and I have, and we got to enjoy -that- aspect of it - dry eyes, lips, throat, etc - and we had NO idea where the moisture was going. We became black holes for moisture.
I can't be encouraging - I've been battling it for a week, and it's still not done with me =(
