Could y'all send some finding-stuff mojo my way? I've mislaid my flash drive, and it had about 2000 words of a new Fifteen Minutes on it. And some as-of-yet-un-backed-up Black Ribbon on it. Uh.

ETA: Wow, that was fast. Apparently a gnome or brownie or poltergeist left it in my makeup box... somehow. Thanks!

We've found Oracle nips (http://community.livejournal.com/m15m/14864.html). That's a start.

Good luck, Cleo.

Mojo, mojo, mojo.

Where was the last place you had it?

Oh no! Check under your desk. That's where my stuff always is. Oh, or my pockets. It's probably not in my pockets, but you could try yours.

So frustrating. And you know it's going to be either: a) right in the middle of everything you've been staring at for 20 minutes; or b) fallen behind your desk or similar. At least, that's where everything *I* lose goes.

Check your jacket pockets, and under the cushions.

Glad you found it! I could use some of that mojo today -- I had an invoice that I misplaced while preparing a deposit. It was near the bottom of a stack of invoices, and I know I wrote the payment information on it and attached the check stub to it -- but when I went through the stack to prepare the deposit sheet, that invoice had magically disappeared. It's not attached to any other invoice, it's not in the trash can, it's not anywhere on my desk or on the floor of my office. It's just gone. I still haven't the slightest clue where it went.

Warning: Totally Off Topic!

I live in Norway and I just bought your book through a Scandinavian on-line bookstore.

My apologies if you've already heard this or similar a million times, but in case you haven't...Scandinavian on-line store Capris (http://www.capris.no/) (that's a link to their Norwegian site) carries your book and they ship within 3-6 business days, although Christmas may spike the wheels a bit. Veeerrrah nicely priced for a hardcover too; 112,00 NKR, which would be in the neighborhood of 5-6 $.
From: [identity profile] rustybitch.livejournal.com
Uh...make that about 20 $. Dunno where my mind is today, but it's obviously not here.

*Bangs head a bit in the hope that sense will surface*

I know I will ;>

Advantage of being familiar with the authors work.
What with having read so much of your stuff on-line an' all, it's kinda like buying the third or fourth book in a series you really enjoy...The first book intrigues you, the second and third either confirms that this is good stuff or you ditch the whole show entirely.
In this case it'll be like having excellent sex on the first (paid for) date!

Ok, I'm gonna go and work some more on that metaphor...
