Thursday morning, desk dancing
May. 3rd, 2007 09:36 amBy request, a few other downloads--bootlegged, edited down, volume-adjusted, what-have-you:
From
xphile101: The official "You Give Love a Bad Name" mp3--the same live performance, but with more bells and whistles audible.
Since I sucked several of y'all into American Idol last night with the Blake Lewis bootleg, here's a few more. If you grab only one, go for "Time of the Season"; I don't have his earlier, beatboxier performances burned yet. I don't know that any of them have the spark of "You Give Love a Bad Name," but, you know: in case you want them.
Blake Lewis - Keep Me Hangin' On.
Blake Lewis - Mack the Knife.
Blake Lewis - Somewhere Only We Know.
Blake Lewis - Time of the Season.
Last night's dearly departed: poor Chris and Phil. Although at this point, I'd rather them go than Blake and Jordin, and Melinda's not going anywhere. Both their Bon Jovi covers from Tuesday night--ironically, Phil's performance was one of his best of the entire season, and somewhat aptly titled:
Chris Richardson - Wanted Dead or Alive.
Phil Stacey - Blaze of Glory.
Again: poor Gina the Rocker Girl, who so should have been there for Bon Jovi night. Gina's best performance, so far as I recall:
Gina Glocksen - I'll Stand by You.
Lastly, Jordin, the seventeen-year-old dynamo; I'd put my money on her or Blake for the win at this point.
Jordin Sparks - Heartbreaker. A Pat Benatar cover, as opposed to the Pink song.
Jordin Sparks - I Who Have Nothing. A Shirley Bassey cover that I can't believe came out of a seventeen-year-old.
Jordin Sparks - Livin' on a Prayer. This is the sound of a girl struggling with a song she clearly loves performing--but which doesn't love her back. Fun, but you'll wince in places.
Enjoy.
