A few quick things:

There was a cave-in in the Comedy Mines today, so I'm still working on my Pixel-Stained Technopeasant piece. This is after I couldn't sleep all last night and couldn't get to a computer all day long, handwriting what I could instead. I'm just trying to get it up before midnight at this point. It's been that kind of day.

[livejournal.com profile] particle_person: "Cleo, some large candy makers have petitioned the FDA to change the definition of chocolate not to include cocoa butter. There's only three days left in the public comment period -- it ends April 25 -- so if you like your chocolate not to taste weird, drop the FDA a public comment before then." Which I did, and though I used the form letter, I also prefaced it by saying that I would stop buying American chocolate if they went through with this. If you leave a comment, I suggest you specifically say something to that effect, in a very clear, concise way--in essence, you will lose my consumer dollars if you do this, because that's the only reason they're taking out cocoa butter in the first place: vegetable fats are cheaper.

FINALLY, a decent shot of Bellatrix.

Also, since Attack of the Clones is in the book, not online, and I need to link to a specific excerpt, I'm putting it here:
[The Geonosians bring Padmé and Anakin out and chain them up next to Obi-Wan. (...) Padmé has mysteriously sprouted a handcuff key, so, you know, good for her. Count Dooku, Nute Gunray, and the Fetts watch as the three captives proceed to break their chains and/or use them as weapons against the monsters.]

COUNT DOOKULA: You people have really got to get a better chain supplier.

Heh. I used that in the beginning of the parody I did for Jurassic Park, and I haven't been able to stop reusing it since. : )

There is something very strange about Voldemort's robes in that link, but I can't put my finger on what. Side fastenings? Who knows. And in the back, that's part of that fountain-statue-thing in the Ministry of Magic with the dwarf and the wizard and the whatever, right.

oh hay sup lupin. thanks for shaving your hitlerstache

good luck with the piece!

My first thought was that the shadowing and draping on the robes made it look almost like he was wearing a long, flamboyent scarf.

no, no I think it's still there. It's just...lurking...in the shadows.

Or maybe it is a shadow. I can't for the life of me tell.

On what basis are those the "first pictures" of OotP. *Pokes stupid tabloid*

They are shiny pics though, if only stills from the trailer. What's going on with the boy's hair in the bg of the DA pic.

Also, I totally thought that the Comedy Mines was a real place for a moment. The name of a reputed stand-up club or something, like the Comedy Store or a Jongleurs.

Hahaha, I thought that too. I was like "Oh no, that sounds horrible."

And then I got it and felt stupid.

American chocolate often tastes like flour to me. Scharfenbergers, Godiva See's. all good. Hersheys, ugh.

Was I the only one to almost start crying at the picture of Harry reacting to Sirius' death?

Seriously. (too much Grey's Anatomy..)

If I get all worked up over a picture, I'm going to be scaring little children at the premiere when I hurl myself at the screen in sacrifice on the chance of it saving Gary Oldman from his demise.
