OOTP trailer's up. trailer_spot has it for download here (opened, the download plays at a slightly larger size), but it's only a small version as yet--excellent quality, though. I suspect this is to keep visitors from crashing the site entirely. My hunch is that the supergigundo version will appear on the official HP and Apple sites within 24 hours.

Ah, just kidding, I did some snooping, and it's possible that the scene from the teaser trailer isn't from the end at all. It might be taken from the beginning, when the Order Of The Phoenix is flying Harry from Privet Drive to #12 Grimmauld Place, which would be on brooms.

I'm choosing to believe that, because I'm going to have to wibble something fierce if there's no thestrals.

I caught one scene and the lead flyer looks to be Kingsley. In the other scene, most of the flyers look too big to be a Hogwarts student (or they chose horribly overgrown stunt doubles).

I think the main reason people suspect it's the DA is because, well... why the hell would Moody have them fly soo close to Muggles where they can be easily seen (outside a cruise ship, no less)?

Wow. I wasn't thrilled with GoF (nor did it suck, it was just... there), but this trailer has me stoked. Also? I love Bella-- I always pictured her gorgeous, even though I suspect Rowling meant for her to be as nasty-looking post-Azkaban as Sirius was supposed to be, so I'm happy that the directors had my same brainwave.

On the flip side, I was literally depressed and grieving for two weeks after Sirius died, so whether I can watch this with impunity is an open question. (I know, I know. He's not real. I love me my book characters, dammit. Don't even get me started on how I felt in middle school reading the deaths of Robinton and Allanon.)

I had an odd response to it. At first, it wasn't real to me, because of the way it happened. But then later, it sunk in that one of my favorite characters in the whole series - he and Remus shared that status starting when I read the Shrieking Shack stuff in PoA - was really dead, and I was very unhappy. And now that I'll have to actually WATCH it happen, with music and everything... um. Not gonna be pretty. XD

Honestly, as a writer myself, I think it's a mark of great writing when words on a page can move one emotionally and make the reader really care about the characters. ^^

I managed to get about five pretty good ones, actually, but that's the one I liked the best. I'm sure that when the hi-res version comes out, though, cap_it will have 20,000 people taking 20,000 (much better) caps apiece.

I am really liking how Siouxsie and the Banshees Bellatrix is looking. I'm glad that I'm apparently not the only one who imagines the Death Eaters from Harry Potter as extremely goth.
