Studio head calls Lindsay Lohan out: "You and your representatives have told us that your various late arrivals and absences from the set have been the result of illness; today we were told it was 'heat exhaustion.' We are well aware that your ongoing all night heavy partying is the real reason for your so-called 'exhaustion.... You have acted like a spoiled child and in so doing have alienated many of your co-workers and endangered the quality of this picture." P.S. You will be in the suing when we sue: "The studio executive also said if Lohan does not honor her commitments, the studio will pursue 'full monetary damages' and take other necessary action to preserve the studio's financial interests."

Crazy Mel Gibson gets busted for DUI, resists arrest, blames Jews. I'm not even kidding.

Snakes on a Magazine!

New trailers: The Departed (Infernal Affairs remake with Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon), Marie Antoinette, Babel.

Update on Neil Gaiman's Coraline adaptation.

This is how much I love you guys: TMNT posters.

V for Vendetta boxed set, which includes... a mask? What the hell am I going to do with that? People, replica daggers are where it's at.

Remember when Janet Jackson videos made sense? What's with the fifty different space geisha costumes? And why is Nelly on the Black Pearl?

(The great thing about YouTube: being able to go back and look up just about any live performance you want. The bad thing about YouTube: half the search results will be random schmucks "interpreting" the video themselves. Like, I understand why you did it [it's fun!]--I just don't understand why you thought we'd want to see it.)

Remember when Janet Jackson had a cute nose? :|

I always knew Mel Gibson was crazy, though. I'm glad he finally came out of the closet.

TMNT! Now that looks awesome.

What the hell am I going to do with that?

Wear it and bring down the government, duuuh.

Also: Oh please, let Mel Gibson be that crazy.

Funny thing how I found out on Mel Gibson, I was helping my mom clean the kitchen last night when she tells me, in garbled english (we're a hispanic family, she's working on her english) that the director of Lord of the Rings was arrested. "Peter Jackson?" "No, the other one" "Uh.. " "Mike Gibson.. Meg Gibson" "Mel Gibson, mom?" "Yes, him" "Oh"

Christ the Lord, Lord of the Rings....

"...that the director of Lord of the Rings was arrested."

Passion of the Christ, Lord of the Rings... easy enough to confuse. Too cute! She was on the right track... sort of. ;-)

I told Mel not to drink the koolaid at the Cruise dinner party the other night, but he wouldn't listen. Now look at him.

Lindsay Lohan may not be taking care of herself, but the heat exhaustion exuse isn't entirely out of line considering heat-related deaths are on the rise (http://news.search.yahoo.com/search/news?p=heatwave+deaths&ei=UTF-8&fr=slv1-adbe&x=wrt).

Oh, what the fuck ever. She did not get HEAT EXHAUSTION walking from her air conditioned house to her air conditioned car to her air conditioned movie set. And you know what you do for heat exhaustion? You sit down in a cold room with your head between your knees and a cool cloth on the back of your neck for fifteen minutes and you're fine.

If my out of shape ass can live in a car without AC and a job that requires me to be outside 80% of the time in the middle of summer in South Texas, she damn well did not get heat exhaustion.

People, replica daggers are where it's at.

Even better-replica swords too! I don't regret my Highlander Katana sword purchase.

Hey,

Mel Gibson's become the Hollywood equivalent of the crazy old coot who spits at pigeons, pees on his mailbox and yells at kids to get off his lawn. Plus he looks like he's been taking Saddam Hussein's Spider-Hole Fashion Tips...

Lindsay needs to stop tarnishing the Lindsay name. You're ruining it for all of us, you bastard!

P.S. That is totally not Michaelangelo! *sobs* Mikey? There is a cataclysmic lack of pizza in these posters. And they appear to resemble frogs more than they do turtles -- though they do have teeth and know martial arts so I suppose it's not an entirely realistic film. *^_^*

From: [identity profile] stella-gold.livejournal.com
They do seem to have made Michaelangelo the token "goofy" guy. Which, yeah, he was kind of already, but neither the poster nor the teaser show him with his nunchucks and I'm kinda worried that they left them out due to the whole legality thing. Because swords that can cut you in half are alright to own, but sticks on a chain? Too weapon-y.

Oh ho! I posted too soon. I couldn't get the youtube links to work earlier, and I just now got a glimpse of teh sheer wind-machine craziness that Janet Jackson has become.

Seriously, that video is very disjointed, and frankly I'm not a fan of the song even. I feel like the whole thing should be attached to a headline along the lines of "POTC Directors Take Franchise in 'New Direction' for 3rd Film". Scary stuff. I'll give it to Janet that she looks darn good in that video though and I know how tough weight loss can be...

Just for giggles, I should find and post a picture of my (now 20 year old) son when he was either 4 or 5 on Christmas morning... sitting on his new TMNT bike, wearing his TMNT shades and his TNMT sweatsuit, with his TMNT shoe lace holders on his TMNT shoes. Somehow I don't think he's gonna be nearly as crazy for 'em this time around. However, I could be wrong.

Oh man! I used to watch TMNT all the time when I was a kid. Raphael was my fave, followed by Michelangelo.

I love how three of them are all serious and ready to kick ass, while Michelangelo is all "Surf's up!"

Raphael was my favorite, too! Thank goodness-- everyone else loved Mikey the most because of that whole pizza thing. He was my second favorite, but nowhere near as cool as Raph.
