Two new trailers: Superman Returns and Casino Royale. I haven't watched either one yet, as I'm about to go wash my hair, but I am thinking they will not have any kraken.

*wonders if this Superman trailer will be as Messiah-complex-tastic as the last one*

I remember seeing that trailer and wondering when exactly the Gospels of Kal-El made it into the bible. Honestly, it was more explicitly Christian in its overtones than the Chronicles of Narnia, which is saying something.

I think even the FIRST Superman movie was terrible.

Then again, I also thought that about Batman, but I guess Batman Begins, for all its many many flaws, is probably the best Batman movie so far. Not that that's aiming high.

No Kraken, No Love.

At least Snakes On A Plane had some kind of reptiles!

Mini-kraken. It's a kind of test of manhood in which the kraken must pass through Sam L in order to achieve krakenhood. And less face it, only a kraken is more badass than Sam L.

Just barely though.

What about Sam L AS a kraken?

It would only work if he had a purple light sabre. Or a cheeseburger.

Would they be attached?

I think that once you reach that much awesome, the universe folds in on itself and we all die. If you ever wanted to know the critical mass of awesome, there it is.

sooo, if we venture to math: Sam L + kraken + cheeseburger + (lightsaber times purple) = THE END OF THE WORLD OH GOD NO.

Someone needs to inform Stephen Hawking.

You're not insinuating that krakken are reptiles, are you?

It's scurrilous anti-mollusk propaganda, that's what it is.

Such is the tragedy of every modern movie. EXCEPT ONE.

My inner Superman geek is entirely unleashed with the sight of him flying across the sky and the starting notes of the theme. Between this, Pirates and X3, I'm going to have a geektastic summer and lose any cred I might have otherwise gotten by association with other people.

Bond looks interesting.

Grargh, why does Sony have to be so annoying and use stupid, new-fangled streaming? I hate not having control over the video.

That aside, I think Casino Royale looks like fun, and someone's got some serious jumping skills (not the Bond-to-crane, before that). Could really have done without that silly last shot, though.

I haven't seen any Superman since Lois & Clark reruns in the 90s, but Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor fills me with giddiness entirely inappropriate for exam week.

Ah, without the kraken, there is no incentive to watch.

Which is a shame, because Superman kicks kraken ASS. Especially robot kraken, where he can do the whole eye-laser-dismemberment, crack-the-whip dance thing.
