Mar. 29th, 2006 10:59 pmSo, I finally finished V for Vendetta in 15 Minutes. I didn't want to actually come out and say I was doing it because I find that I tend to jinx myself when I do that and then can't finish it. But I decided, you know, to hell with it. I haven't posted anything since last January because of the book, and I felt like I could do this one, so screw it, I'm going have fun even if no one else likes it. So I've been writing my ass off since 4 pm yesterday afternoon, and even though I'm pretty sure I switched the female doctor's names up, I feel pretty happy with the results. (/defensive writer insecurities)
ETA: I'ma have some damn ice cream now.

Date: 2006-03-30 05:59 am (UTC)V: I totally killed him.
EVEY: Oh.
V: I’m totally going to kill more people, too.
EVEY: I… uh. Wow.
V: More popcorn?
I especially loved that. Excellent. V's deadpan in the movie was hilarious as well. The Boy also greatly enjoyed it.
And man, do I know what you mean about telling people about projects killing the inspiration.

Date: 2006-03-30 06:03 am (UTC)(What cracked me up at that part in the movie was that he was just like, "No." "Yes." Usually people try to throw out some justification or something but he was just like, "No, I totally did it.")

Date: 2006-03-30 07:32 am (UTC)The TV station I'm working at is interested at using your M15M on air in some fashion. (Probably converting excerpts to on-air scenes, or something - we have a movie show.)
We'd probably be using stuff from the online M15Ms since the book isn't out in Malaysia yet. And this isn't confirmed; it's just an idea at this point. But it may happen.
Is that OK? Do you have any specifications (credit, royalties, etc?) Do let me know. You can email me at divabat@gmail.com and I can send you more details and answer questions.
Thankee!

Date: 2006-03-30 09:27 am (UTC)except... you did (http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/388114.html?mode=reply)? well, sort of. not that I figured you were writing a M15M, but if that wasn't a VforV clue, nothing is. ;)
I completely feel you on the 'auto-jinxing+can'tfinish' issue, anyway. happens to me all the time, I'm sort of glad that I'm not alone in that. I used to think it would be 'empowering', in a 'I declared it publically, now I cannot NOT do or finish it', but... it just doesn't seem to work that way, no no.
