Date: 2006-03-07 03:45 am (UTC)Wal-Mart enlists bloggers in its P.R. campaign (http://www.nytimes.com/2006/03/07/technology/07blog.html?hp&ex=1141707600&en=4ae93d6a6547651a&ei=5094&partner=homepage)
They send around glorified press releases to bloggers, who in some cases pass the information on without noting where it came from. I suspect this is more of a problem for the conservative part of the blogsphere at the moment (because that half is more business-friendly), but it won't be long before it's a problem for all of us. Also, Wal-Mart is apparently not the only company to do this.
