If you have ordered any book from The Book Cellar and not received it, or if you're just interested in some internet vigilante justice*, head on over to [livejournal.com profile] m15m.

* "Internet vigilante justice" = "spreading the word and filing complaints and getting the guy's Amazon referral thing canceled." Does not mean illegal or malicious activity. Should be fun anyway.

So yesterday, I'm obsessed with pirates, right? Today: U.S. Navy Seizes Pirate Ship Off Somalia. Also: "Pirate-themed sex"?

Whoa! How have these people not been sued! AKA "The Most Awesome Tom Cruise Parody Ever."

A boyband singer? Being gay in a gay nightclub? No!

High Court Won't Hear BlackBerry Appeal.

Ben & Jerry introduce the Pint Lock.

And finally, happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] skyblade.

Dude. Tom Cruise is so going to tear someone's throat out for that one. But lordie, is it ever true.

Nice. I can see him trying to sue, but wouldn't this be protected as 'parody'?

You would think, but he and the Clams are pretty litigious. If nothing else, the site might take it down rather than deal with them.

Ah, well. May as well enjoy it while we can then!

I'm sorry, but the very thought of a pint of Ben & Jerry's even NEEDING a bulletproof lock on it is enough to make me laugh. I suddenly get images of some poor PMSing woman trying to shoot the lock off of someone's pint of icecream.

Dude, the Pirate porn (http://www.freddyandeddy.com/videoreviews/Digital_Playground/piratesdvdreview.htm) is the most awesome thing ever. Highly recommened, with multiple pitchers of sangria for added fun.

(That's a link to a website about a porn flick. No overt nudity, but click at your own discretion.)

PS:
The 16 Indians and 10 Somali men were aboard a traditional dhow that was chased and seized Saturday by the U.S. guided missile destroyer USS Winston S. Churchill, said Lt. Leslie Hull-Ryde of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain.

I bet they felt dumb.

D'how!

Chasing a dhow with a guided missile destroyer is kind of overkill. It's sort of like shooting a mouse with a .44 Magnum. Sure, it's dead, but a mousetrap would have done the trick.

I've heard nothing but good things about Pirates (the porn). But as for me, I'll stick with the original quasi-pirate themed porn: Long Jeanne Silver = http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0178711/combined

Not really a pirate movie per se but still the best use of a peg leg, ever.

The best part of the Tom Cruise parody card is the evil fetus. ROFL.

My best friend is in the Navy, and for awhile was on a civilian ship with a Naval detachment in the South Pacific. They were approached by what were likely pirate vessels many times (the ship was a supply ship, so was a big fat target) but the pirates always turned tail when the Naval commander got on the radio to let them know they were approaching a ship with US Navy personel defending it.

The civilian sailors on the ship were also probably pirates who happened to be going through a brief stint of legitimacy.

My friend has the most awesome stories.

As a small child, I used to think that when pirates weren't being pirates, they lived under street intersections and pulled ropes to make the traffic lights change.

I was a weird child.

Hee hee! That's OK, what's really pathetic is how long I believed my dad when he told me that there was a little man hiding in the dryer/referigerator/glove compartment who turned on the light when the door was opened.

The card is so funny. But, the part about Katie seems untrue. Everyone says it is hurting her career. Coming off of Batman Begins, her career should be rising. Instead she hasn't done any acting. The press is so negative and not all publicity is good publicity. Did you see the South Park episode about Tom not coming out of the closet. Scientology is a little scary to me. I am Christian and I believe in everyone's right to practice their religion. But, still scary. I want the pint lock.

Actually, there's even a not-too-bad Jenna Jameson pirate porn movie...
It's titled "Conquest"...
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0136759/

Proves there's a big enough audience for any variety of porn you can think of...

lol....the parody card is too funny. Esp the ending where they're facing each other and Katie is like a foot taller than him

If I liked ice cream, I would totally buy the Pint Lock...lol

As for the boy band member being gay in a gay night club...I thought that was a requirement for being in a boyband. ;)

Thanks for sharing, I needed a laugh.

Just wanted to say

if I wanted that ice cream.. do you really think a flimsy little plastic lock would stop me? The pint is made of cardboard for god's sake. Just give me a knife.
