Meh. The nose bothered me. But other than that... and aparently Ralph Fiennes (too tired to look up the spelling of his name) is shorter than jason issacs (again, too tired)

Voldie was done right by. And the nose-man, that's something I was worried they weren't going to do. But it's canon, and they did.

It needed more Snape. And an explanation for the priori incantatum. Rita Skeeter and her quill were brilliant, and hurrah for Neville!

BTW I think you'll like what the local chain of theatres here in Austin did to their theatre for the midnight release.

i didn't think it was very good. everyone seems to be loving it, but i'd go as far as to say it was the worst of the four. it just seemed so...off.

Eh. I pictured him cooler and more controlled. And why oh why the Testosterone Scream?

THANK YOU i agree totally.

but i also think that it has to do with the fact that the book was so long. and.. hermione is very angsty now. i wish they wouldve just made two movies.

Voldemort was my favorite part of the movie. The ONLY thing that was not canon were his eyes.

The nose was so amazing. Oh man. They made him look how he should and he still resembled a human.

And the way he MOVED was SO. COOL.

If I were into creepy, bald snake-men, I'd totally bang him.

I agree. I definitely don't think it was the best.

I feel bad for people who haven't read the books who will be reading this. They will have no idea what is going on.

And they seemed to just... give up on Rita Skeeter after a while.

And random dead body that is never mentioned again?

I still kinda liked it. The music wasn't very good, though.

But man. Freaking Voldemort was awesome.

Harry Potter Fangirls and the Goblet of SEX omg. It was all over the place, wouldn't you agree?

...Also: I feel a 15 minutes coming on, but I don't know if you're going to do one. If you will, GREAT! If you won't, then that's too bad, but it's okay. :D

I could have written this post, right down to the knitting needle thing. My total sympathies. I am functioning on images of Ralph Fiennes and coffee, only.

S'cool, I know you'll get people who'll violently disagree, but that's obnoxious and stupid of them to do so. I think this was better than the last movie, in that what things that were left sitting around were generally explained a bit better.

Ex - last movie we never really did get an in-depth explanation of the Map and who the hell Padfoot and Prongs were, et al.

This one - absolutely, Rita Skeeter was underutilized and not wrapped up, however she also seemed presented more as just an annoying background character and not ALWAYS FUCKING PRESENT getting stupid scoops. So if somebody hadn't read the book, they at least would just get 'OMG, bitch annoying' instead of our '...wait, where's the damn mosquito?'

Coffee not setting in. Stupid to violently get on your case for having a dissenting opinion. I go to the school of 'dissenting casually without malice and getting into discussions of someone's mother's sexual history.'

And an explanation for the priori incantatum.

Totally. The explanation scene for that didn't make any sense, really.

Harry: I saw my mum and dad!
Dumbledore: Ahh. Priori Incantatum.
Harry: Bzzuh?
Dumbledore: *doesn't bother explaining at all?*

I loved it, but the style was definitely different. I mean, the POA style was way different from the first two (which I didn't like), but I'd read about how Mike Newell wanted it to be more "human," and even just the cinematography wasn't as glossy as the other three. I think they made some interesting choices, and I thought they did a great job of keeping the ball rolling, but I was sitting there watching it thinking, "A lot of people are going to hate this."
