MySpace

Y'all, the whole point of posting today was so I could ask this, and then I totally forgot:

Who among the fine folks here has a MySpace blog? I've had an account for a while and just not bothered to do anything with it, because... the interface is kind of weird and... crowded... and... I don't know the MySpace culture very well and... I feel lost.

(ETA: Yes, do please friend and I will friend back. IF I CAN FIGURE OUT HOW.)

Yeah, since we haven't gotten around to buying our own domain, we're relying on myspace. Every show, we're always like "myspace dot com slash opposites attract!!" And we say it at least five times.

It actually looks pretty useful for bands and music--and on a totally unrelated note, someone linked me to Hal Sparks' MySpace for his thoughts on the hurricane. It seems to have a more "official" veneer than, say LJ. Maybe because the music angle makes it seem cooler.

Are you still doing a benefit for Katrina, btw? I'd be more than happy to mention it here if you have a date ready (or... uh... haven't already done it).

We're playing at a benefit. October 9, at O'Riley's on Lower Greenville. At least, I think we're playing. I know our friend's band, Alan, is playing, and we got the offer, but I'm not sure if we're playing.

Ha! Sorry. I'm in Dallas, Texas. Seriously, they need to develop a transportation device so that we could have a big Snarkfest gathering, and it would be awesome.
