So I finished proofing late last night and mailed the corrections off this morning. And then I went to bed again. And then eeeee! My May 23rd Black Phoenix order came in! (Apparently they ran out of the Honey Moon LE, which caused more backlog than usual.) And Beth gave me fifteen free imps! And I am running out of places on my arms to test blends! Plus I got four in a swap the other day (I am in LOVE with March Hare and Verdandi, y'all). And not only is March Hare a gorgeous apricot blend, so are Katharina and Fae. Well, apricot and/or peach, I can't remember. I'm just not sure how I'm going to wear them all. Hell, I've got so many on right now that I don't even remember which one is which--O (really amber on me, for some reason), Hollywood Babylon, Vice, Glasgow, the aforementioned blends--ARGH PRETTY SMELLS. I'll have to write up some more reviews now that I've got the time (and have tested a few more).

And then I check the Amazon listings and, by the end of the day? We're #3 on the pre-release chart, under the two Harry Potter audiobook CDs. On the Hot 100? Forty-three, as of this writing. I'm sure people are reading those lists going, "Who the hell is this?" To which I can only say: Hee.

MMM SO GOOD. It's just apricot and clove, pretty much, so there's none of the stuff I have issues with (musk, sandalwood, sometimes amber, etc.) to get in the way. Yum.

Omg! I am in love with March Hare too! I adore it. O didn't work on me, it turned really sharp and plasticky smelling. I really want to try House of Mirrors from Carnival Noir, and Snake Charmer. Katharina is pretty you say? I'm going to make a big order at the end of August, so I'm trying to think. I'm definitely getting 5mls of March Hare and Athens, possibly an imp pack or too...maybe House of Mirrors. I want to try Bengal really badly too.

I didn't like O until my nose got used to the amber--it's all amber on me, for some reason. It doesn't make me happy the way the fruit blends do, but I find myself wanting to wear it again.

I just can't decide if I want to preorder the book RIGHT NOW, just so I can say that I have, or if I want to wait to see how things shake out with American publishing.
