As if there aren't more important things in life to be concerned about! I'd like to not have to worry about anything in life but bitching and moaning about some fictious characters in a book!

Geez, they can still write their fan fics the way they want, pairing who they choose so why all the bitching and whining? Fan fictions usually aren't usually rooted in canon reality anyway, they are written for the masses because the characers aren't doing what they want them to do in the stories anyway.

Some people have too much time on their hands and no priorities in life! Get over it and write the fan fics with the characters paired any way you want and quit whining!

When Harry kissed Ginny, I could faintly hear the sounds of two million fangirls screaming in pain. :) Really, though, I couldn't help but notice some serious (heh) Sirius/Harry references in the opening chapters of this book. Was it just me? Because when Dumbledore said "You two never had a time to enjoy your relationship," I choked on my Frappuccino.

The most depressing thing for me was that Colin Creevey vanished, without a single reference. Nobody said, "Hey, you know that annoying kid? The one who stalks that whiny boy with the disfiguring scar? Where did he go again?" I, a sometimes Colin/Harry 'shipper, felt my heart break with every Creevey-blank page. :(

I've been thinking lately about how everybody has read a different HBP, even if the words are the same. People's assumptions and prejudices fill up everything left unspecified, and when JKR fills in the cracks, they go bonkers because they have to adjust. It's going to be interesting to see what happens if Harry dies. There may be violence in the streets. (Dumbest remark award goes to that one about the characters being out of cannon. "Is no character sacred?" Sorry, no.)

Ah, this is why I love Harry Potter. The crazies! So many crazies! I could just hear the roar of thousands of jubilant/angry shippers at every turn of the book, especially the Ginny/Harry bits. Mwahaha. I knew that we could depend on Cleo to provide us with such...*sniffle* beautiful moments of the shipping wars. :D

I must say, I sniggered through about half the book. The day before I'd said on my LJ something to the effect of "Pumpkin Pie shippers are morons" (no offense to the faithfuls, but I thought H/R has been pretty obvious for a while now) and "I'm holding out for H/G, if Harry doesn't decide to go loner hero on us." (Turns out, by the way, that I actually managed to be right both ways on that one, nevermind that they appeared to be opposing predictions, but whatever.) So every time I got to a attack-of-the-hormones section, the thought "OMG, the H/Hr people are going to die" crossed my mind. Unfortunately, I was in the bookstore and had to hold the laughter in.

As for Remus/Tonks, I have to say, I couldn't imagine a diehard R/T shipper's reaction.
