There's this huge OMGWTFBBQ! thing going on about Cho Chang now, there's a lot of fangirl hate now that they've cast an actress. Hence, all the Cho Chang questions. She gets to be 'teh luv inerest' for "their" Harry. Oh, and they hate her they does, she touches their precious... their... precious...[/teen girl Golem]
Yeah, I think I did, a while back--awful racist stuff they were saying about the poor girl, how she wasn't good enough for "their Daniel." Which should tell you a lot right there.
Were you mad about the whole H/C mistake? The who in the what now?
I'm assuming that this refers to Harry getting into the contest in book 4.
Do you think Harry will be even more angry in HBP than in OotP? God, I hope not. The kid's got to get his head together at some point. Speaking as a former teenage boy, more. Till he gets laid, that really mellows things out. Trust me on this one.
There's so many things in this meme I don't even understand, so I won't bother doing it, but the guy he played Wood is definitely the hottest HP actor. And my least favorite part is at the end of this past movie, where Harry flies toward the camera and then the picture is frozen and he has this strange open-mouthed look and he's all blurry .. it's really creepy!
potterpuffs is waaay too adorable. I wish I had Cartoon Network so I could watch Power Puff Girls again, that show rocked. (Or is PPG still on anymore?)
No... it was more of a "WTF? You moron!" kind of reaction
I've never seen it summed up so perfectly. The sadness of the moment was totally lost on me - I was most upset about Arthur Weasley getting injured.
I'm totally taking this later on tonight, when I get a chance, but I have to say, your takes on the shipping is wonderful, considering all the OMGOTPshipping wars that WILL NEVER END TO THE END OF FOREVER EVEN IF JK ISSUES A LIST OF EVERYONE WHO ENDED UP TOGTHER, INCLUDED GIANT SQUID/MRS NORRIS.
Who doesn't love Alan Rickman? Book!Snape isn't as cool as Alan, IMO.
There's defintiely something about the prophecy we don't know. It's not as obvious as we think, I think.
And the time travel is totally the best scene EVER! I heard HBP is JKR's best book yet, but I'll believe it when I read it...
Oh, and about the Marauders - I love them. Possibly my favorite parts are learning about the history of the marauders, which is why I like PoA and OotP. And I heard we're supposed to find out more about Lily in HBP.
Oh, and about Ron dying, there's an article in the North Tower at mugglenet about how the chess game at the end of SS/PS is actually a map of all the events in the series. My friends took is a step further and created Knight 2 King (http://www.knight2king.net), which JKR actually disproved. But the part about Ron "dying" I think is pretty probable.
Mmmmm I am big on liking Snape and Lupin, too. And I think she did a great job with the clique thing, and yes, omg, Rickman...yay!! *waves Rickman flag*
As my best friend Meriadoc would describe the werewolf: "Oh my God, you guys, it was a MEXICAN DIRECTOR! So, of course, there's gotta be a Mexican Hairless Werewolf!"
Cynthia: "They have breeds?"
Meriadoc: "Totally, man."
Cynthia: "I wanna see a Mexican Hairless Wookie."
Meriadoc: "No, they just have Siamese Wookies. It sucks."
I'm sorry. I don't know you from anywhere, but your response is killing me! Siamese Wookie?
And your icon is great, too. I came to the Alan Rickman because he played Snape. He doesn't look anything like my vision of the character, but he does it so well that it doesn't matter. Although, I admit, if I'd known way back when, I'd have been bummed that Tim Roth couldn't do it. Still, got to know a new actor this way.
I will now giggle like a fiend the next time I see PoA, I'll have you know. And my best friend lived in Mexico for a time, so I'll have to tell her that one, too. Wolves look like huskies or something, not like Chihuahuas. Snort.
Here are the parts where I differ with Cleo. (A few other things are repeated for clarity.)
Name: Andy Age: 26 Birthday: 11/10/78 Favorite Book: Prisoner of Azkaban Favorite Character(s): Harry, Hermione, Tonks Favorite Magical Animal: Gnome Favorite Weasley: Ginny or Arthur Favorite Pet: Kneazle Favorite Order Member: Lupin Favorite Class: Transfiguration or Arithromancy Favorite Wizarding Snack: Peppermint humbugs Snape or Lupin? Snape. Alan Rickman has a lot to do with this. Favorite Slytherin: This is a stretch, but Lucius Malfoy. Cho - annoying or not? [here for emphasis] What Cleo said.
Books
All time favorite part: [reproduced for emphasis] The time-travel section in POA. I totally did not see it coming. What did you think of the Prophecy? I think it can be interpreted such that both Harry and Voldemort can die. Which characters need more development? Ditto on the Ginny, but also Voldemort. We haven't seen him do much actual evil. Honestly, on the evidence we have at the moment, Lestrange is by far the foulest character, closely tailed by Umbridge. Will Harry die or survive at the end of book 7? I think he'll sacrifice himself to kill Voldemort or remove him from power. Who do you think will die in HBP? Oh, Dumbledore, of course. The real question is, who else? Who do you think Harry's new "love interest" is in HBP? I'm hoping for Luna. I think she must be smarter than we've seen so far-- she is in Ravenclaw-- and more importantly, she's wise. She could be an anchor for Harry, who badly needs stability. Ginny wouldn't be bad either, but I'm not sure she wants Harry anymore. Are you a Luna fan? Yes. I wish she were less gullible, but with her father, poor girl never had a chance. Other than that, everything I've seen of her is positive. How do you think Ron and Hermione will react when they find out about the prophecy? Hermione will look up prophesies in the library, and Ron will say, "Gosh, Harry, [blah, blah, blah]," because that's what he always says.
Harry Potter Movies
Was the warewolf too bald? How much hair would a werewolf wear if the werewolf were to wear hair-ware? Favorite movie moment? "— or worse, expelled!" Least favorite movie moment? The blowing up of Aunt Marge. Too fake looking, although I suppose there wasn't any good way to shoot that scene. Favorite character in movie? I like Hermione because she's smart. Sometimes I get very frustrated with Harry because really? He's pretty dim most of the time. Do you wish Richard Harris could still play Dumbledore? Yes, if he weren't dead and all. Nothing wrong with Gambdon, but let's answer the question here. I prefer continuity if it's possible. Do you think Snape is sexy? Uh, I'll pass on that? Do you wish you looked like Emma Watson? Gender bias in survey, anyone? No. And for the last question, how has Harry Potter changed your life? Oh, lots of arguments in restaurants with complete strangers. I especially enjoyed the one where the guy said, in very condescending tones, "Harry Potter? I read that to my five-year-old."
Now, girl, you know I love you, but you sure do suck ass at Harry Potter memeness. Half your entries have a drooling "aduhhhhhhhhh" quality them, haha.
You are redeemed by the link to potterpuffs, though.
Finally, someone who doesn't hate harry post-OotP! *clings to you liek whoa*
H/G all the way, and R/Hr seems kind of inevitable, but, unlike many of those shippers, I can see why people like H/Hr -- I even kind of leaned towards that in the earlier books, for some reason...
Ginny rocks! Hee.
Daniel Radcliffe or Rupert Grint -- Radcakes all the way. Seconded like whoa. Yay, Dan! ♥
Chris Columbus or Alfonso -- Cuaron! Whee, agreed 100%!
Was the warewolf too bald -- The who was too what now? I mean, it looked a bit like a pissy greyhound, but at least it was something different. LMAO. Best description EVER. I was just all, dude, it's a werewolf. Let them dream.
Favorite movie moment -- "You tell those spiders, Ron." I loved that. Love your answers, hon, you never cease to crack me up. ♥
The awesome awesomeness of this post goes beyond words. Thank you thank you! Seriously!
Okay, to explain, I am a huge powerpuff fan, but haven't seen show in like whoa, forever. :( I am a huge Harry Potter fan. Long time ago I saw some Potterpuff crossover art, and fell in love. The other day I saw one of the icons, and went online to look for it, but couldn't find a source. And here you are to the rescue!
Whenever I watch the DVD, I replay the Spider Line ad nauseum. It's just a great scene, and it gives me hope that Radcliffe will have a career After Harry.
I have huge love for Book!Snape and Alan Rickman, even though I can't mesh the two in my head.
I thought I saw you post about this, but then, I've been wrong before...
