Just a little something I've been listening to lately--I don't know that it'll make anyone feel "better," per se, but... you know. It's really lovely. (And thanks to [livejournal.com profile] shoukinkasegi for trimming it up a bit for me.) Enjoy.

Something similar that I've always liked is Sophie Hawkins' "As I Lay Me Down To Sleep":

Oh, I had no doubt you would like it. I figured even if you had the song already, it would still be available for other people in need of calming music.

Because we also need eye candy, try this:

Oh, this is WONDERFUL. Do you happen to have the info of where and when it was performed (which I like to have for live songs). God, this is just wonderful.

I love Tori; she's so good at like, crystallizing people's emotions and turning it into a comforting song. Even if it's a cover (not that I want to bring up yet another comparison to it, but her performance of "Time" on Letterman shortly after 9/11 is a good example of the point I'm trying to make).

I've been listening to her cover of "Livin' on a Prayer (http://s51.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3KT0YF9HWMWJL2DYLUJ7QBJMMA)" a lot; even with her little improv-y bits it's still beautiful (and much more meaningful than Bon Jovi's original, imho).

Heh. Here I was, thinking there couldn't possibly be any more Tori mp3s for me to download, and now I've got 2 new ones to listen to. She really does do excellent covers; she changes the perspective of the song she's covering, somehow.

Thanks for the song. :)
