I wish it were a rainy day here--much of the Midwest is dry as the proverbial bone. That said...Bryan Ferry, yay! "More Than This" is a beautiful song. I always loved "Kiss and Tell," too.

Yeah, I got into them when I was finally old enough to go hunting for "that guy who sings during the credits of Legend," and I realized I also loved "More Than This" from somewhere else. From there, it was just random downloading and recommendations--I have other songs, but I thought those were the ones people would like best. : )

Random weather? You should visit Montana. Today it's dry and in the high 90's (farenheit). Last weeek it was raining and in the high 60's, low 70's and we needed jackets at night. They say if you don't like the waether in Montana, just wait a minute and it'll change.

It's odd - his voice makes me a bit sad but it's a good kind of sad. Certainly the kind that goes along with rainy days.
My personal favorite track is on Avalon - While My Heart is Still Beating.

Hope all of the less than happy stuff of late is better for you now. I know how it can hurt to break away from those you care about, even when it's for the best.

Thanks for posting, but I tried to download "More Than This" and "Avalon" and got a message that the file couldn't be saved after each was 90% done. Usually I get a different message if the file's just run out. Hmmm.

If you like Roxy Music/Ferry, I'd especially recommend Flesh and Blood (no relation to the film of the same name), which has some lovely melancholy stuff on it.

I'm from Western New York, and always thought the band got short shrift from the record companies after Natalie left. The singer here (no longer with the band) is named Mary Ramsey, and her singing is just as pure and her presence just as amazing in its own way.

Just thought to let you know, I have the last four episodes of Lost on my hard drive [I haven't seen them, either!] and if you would like them, I can send them to you.
