cleolindaHave just made an horrific discovery re: the honorary society in my previous entry ("I've just been asked to join STD?").
Have also done hair differently today. It's curly and shoulder-length, so usually I let it air-dry, spray it up a little, and blow-dry it for a couple of minutes. Today I sprayed it when I first got out of the shower, just for kicks, and... now I have Huge Hair. El pelo gigantesco. The Hair That Ate Cheboygan. I'm talking Roseanne Roseannadanna here. It enters the room before I do, and drifts around my head like a particularly enthusiastic cloud. It's awesome. I haven't had hair this fun since Della gave me Tamora, Queen of the Goths hair. (No, really, she did--combine that picture with the braids/twists in this one, and you've got it. I looked like a Rastafarian stegosaurus. If it hadn't hurt like hell, it would have been the most awesome hair I have ever had. I have a picture of it that I'll have to dig up.)
So. Me and the cheveux aux nuages are going to Grandma's this afternoon for the Happy Mommy Birthday Roulage. Actually, it's both Mommy's and Aunt Awesome's birthday, or was on Wednesday--they were born exactly five years apart. It's freakish. And not only that, but my sister and I were born seven years and three days apart. And Vladimir's Mommy and the Lovely Emily's Mommy both have the same birthday as my mother and aunt. February 18 is like this freakish nexus of mommy birthdays.
Shit, are the Screen Actors Guild Awards tonight? I am horribly behind on awards season.
