This is pretty far-fetched, but what if Vincent really died in the plane crash, and Walt's special powers are the only thing keeping him alive. That's why Walt was so insistent on him staying on the island.

That's an excellent notion. Hopefully Walt's love and rememberance will keep him alive, or maybe after a week or so Vincent will just drop dead from lack of Walt love power.

if its the creepy Walt powers keeping Vincent alive, wouldn't it be better for Vincent to stay with Walt?
Not knocking your theory, I actually like it. Just seems like its a little far-fetched.
