I thought so too, but reading the TV Guide map, it says on the red dot in Iowa:

"...Kate's visit was cut short when she was forced to flee the scene, leading to a high-speed police chase and a car accident that seriously injured her old friend."

Heh. They don't want to spoil the casual viewers too badly. But the marshal said that she killed him, and she believes that she killed him. I mean, it's possible that he could be alive, but after the plugging he got, I doubt he'd still be alive.

Didn't he? I thought the marshal said she (i.e. Kate) had gotten him killed while she was on the run. That seems a pretty good description of last week's flashback, or did I not hear right?

I think the map may have gotten that wrong, though, as it had a couple of other mistakes that I noticed. For instance, on the dot for LA, it says that one of the cursed numbers is 5, and on the dot for South Korea, it says that Jin is the one who learns english.
